The After movie franchise is coming up with a fourth sequel After Ever Happy and fans are rejoicing. The story is fanfiction which is based on the book series written by Anna Todd. The movie is directed by Roger Kumble.
The After production has gained a huge fan base since the release of the first release After. Since the release of After We Fell in 2021, fans are eagerly waiting for the fourth sequel which has, reportedly, wrapped up shooting and is all set to release soon.
After Ever Happy Trailer
The trailer of the fourth sequel After Ever Happy was released on December 24, 2021. The trailer, of course, hasn’t revealed much of the plot but still showed the drama. The trailer looks promising and shows full drama. Tessa Young, a dedicated student, dutiful daughter and a loyal girlfriend and her boyfriend Hardin are having a conversation about the future. Tessa says in the trailer “I thought we had a love that was out of a novel, and no matter how hard it was, we would survive to tell the story,” in response to this Hardin says that he reassures that the love they have can survive. To which Tessa replies, “I don’t wanna survive. I wanna live.”
After Ever Happy Plot
The upcoming sequel is coming up with a lot of unrevealing of the questions that are in the mind of the watchers. From Tessa moving to Seattle to Hardin’s revelation of his biological father and their bond, there’s a lot in store for the audience. But as we know the movie is a story taken from a fanfiction novel by Anna Todd.
Looking at the official overview on Simon and Schuster’s website we found the brief plot about the book which will be seen in the film as well it conveys:
As the shocking truth about each of their families emerges, it’s clear the two lovers are not so different from each other. Tessa is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin—any more than he is the cruel, moody boy she fell so hard for. Tessa understands all the troubling emotions brewing beneath Hardin’s exterior, and she knows she’s the only one who can calm him when he erupts. He needs her.
But the more layers of his past come to light, the darker he grows, and the harder he pushes Tessa—and everyone else in his life—away. Tessa’s not sure if she really can save him—not without sacrificing herself. She refuses to go down without a fight. But who is she fighting for—Hardin or herself?
After Ever Happy Cast
Josephine Langford plays Tessa and Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays Hardin. As the fourth sequel was back-to-back filmed with the third one, we can expect the cast same in which we can see Chance Perdomo as Landon Gibson, Frances Turner as Karen Scott, Rob Estes as Ken Scott, Louise Lombard as Trish Daniels, and Kiana Madeira as Nora.
We can expect the same old characters to be a part of the sequel.
Will After Ever Happy come on Netflix?
According to reports, the fourth sequel of the romantic drama is all set to release on September 07, 2022, in the US and will see an early release in Europe on August 24 and August 25 in cinemas.
Whether or not After Ever Happy will release on Netflix is not confirmed yet. Given that the second sequel After We Collided and the third sequel After Ever Happy also streamed on Netflix, we can expect the movie to land on Netflix after its theatrical release. Even the third sequel was released in September 2021 and got streamed on Netflix on January 17, 2022. This increases the chances of After Ever Happy releasing on Netflix.
If everything goes fine, we may expect After Ever Happy to make its way to Netflix somewhere in 2023.
