Young Wallander Season 2 will air on Netflix in February 2022. It is a series based on the popular Hennig Mankell franchise, which was originally made into a BBC series called Wallander.
Just a few months after its premiere in September 2020, the programme was renewed in November 2020.
Young Wallander was a smash hit in Sweden, where it spent 35 days in the top ten charts. It was successful in other Nordic nations as well. The series only lasted three days in the top ten in the United States, while it lasted eight days in the United Kingdom.
Season 2 is titled Young Wallander: Killer’s Shadow and it was unveiled on Netflix on January 18, 2022.

Young Wallander Trailer
We’ll leave you with the Young Wallander Season 1 trailer as we wait for further information about the forthcoming season. Netflix usually releases trailers a month before the premiere of a programme, so we’ll have to wait a bit more probably.
In the interim, you may watch the whole first season of Young Wallander on Netflix.
Young Wallander: Killer’s Shadow Season 2 Plot
Adam Pålsson disclosed various details about the next season in a press statement addressed to the Swedish publication Moviezine.
The interview was translated into English and reads as follows:
“I believe the new case will be more vivid, intriguing, and captivating than the last one. We progress further in the plot as we learn more about Reza, Rask, Mona, and other characters. It’s as if we’ve found a home: we have a deeper understanding of the universe and the characters, and we know the colour palette and touch to use.”
The major crimes section will be led by a new chief, who will welcome Kurt Wallander back into the fold.
In Season 2, Wallander accepts the opportunity to return and is tasked with investigating an apparently straightforward case involving a virus outbreak outside of a crowded nightclub.
How many episodes are there in Young Wallander Season 2?
Season 2 will include six episodes once again. There are no runtimes yet, but we do know which episodes Jens Jonsson and Mani Maserrat will direct in season 2.
