Netflix is coming up with a limited series starring Mark Ruffalo and Hugh Laurie. Creators of Stranger Things and Peaky Blinders are coming up with a limited series of 4 episodes.
The duo is working on a novel which is based on World War II titled All The Light We Cannot See written by Anthony Doerr. The book has won the bestselling novel and Pulitzer award.
The creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight is looking after the screenwriting of the series, and the producer of Stranger Things Shawn Levy will be directing all four episodes of the series.
The project is running under 21 Laps entertainment production which is run by producer-director Shawn Levy.
Steven Knight, Josh Barry, Shawn Levy, and Dan Levine all are the executive producers for the upcoming project.
All The Light We Cannot See Plot
The novel is set up in France during World War II. It is a story about a blind girl Marie-Laure LeBlanc who is 6 and lives with her father in Paris. When Germany invaded France in 1940, Marie and her father fleed to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where her uncles live. After months, Marie’s father got arrested and she didn’t hear from him again. Marie collides with Werner who is a German boy and a soldier. Both of them try to survive World War II. The story takes turns and leaps of thirty years.

The role of Marie Laure will be played by Aria Mia Loberti who is a blind actor. She will be seen in the lead role.
Daniel LeBlanc who is Marie Laure’s father will be played by Ruffalo who is narrated as caring and clever. Despite everything, he wants to give her daughter the best education. Etienne Leblanc will be played by Laurie who will play the role of Daniel’s uncle Marie Laure’s great uncle.
The role of Werner Pfennig will be cast to a young boy.
When will the production of All The Light We Cannot See start?
As per the sources, Netflix’s upcoming limited series is in the writing process. The direction of the film is likely to start in the first quarter of 2022 in Europe and the shooting may begin in March 2022 and will be scheduled till the end of July 2022. The film will be mainly filmed in Berlin.
