Marvel’s WandaVision came to an end on Disney+ has had left many speechless. Each episode of the series, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as newlyweds Wanda Maximoff and Vision, brought viewers to a different age, culminating in Wanda eventually returning Westview, New Jersey, to its rightful state. But, just as the credits roll, she’s dressed up as the Scarlet Witch and whispering incantations. This was a possible indication towards a Season 2 of the series.
It’s unclear whether WandaVision will return for a second season or whether any other new superhero shows will premiere on Disney+, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has a reputation for being opaque.
In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Feige confirmed that the number of seasons for each show will vary.
“Before being transformed into films, certain episodes were developed with the goal of furthering our story. The presence of [Elizabeth] Olsen in Dr. Strange 2 has already been confirmed. Teyonah Parris (WandaVision’s Monica Rambeau actor) will join the cast of Captain Marvel 2.”
WandaVision’s Season 2 Release Date
If WandaVision receives the green light, the second season is unlikely to air for several years. The next Marvel Studios programming schedule on Disney Plus is jam-packed.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which won’t be released until March 25, 2022, has a relation to WandaVision. For now, the earliest possible dates for the release of WandaVision Season 2 are 2023 or 2024.
WandaVision Season 2 Probable Cast
WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch or Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision would likely return to screen if the show gets a second season.
They were joined by Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Randall Park, and Kat Dennings, who portrayed Agnes/Agatha Harkness, and Randall Park and Kat Dennings, who played scientist Darcy Lewis, respectively.
WandaVision Season 2 seems unlikely to take place without the show’s two major characters. Hahn’s performance was critically praised, so she’s a must-have as well. Parris looks to be a long-term Captain Marvel crew member. It would be amazing if Park and Dennings were reunited. Though it’s hard to say what Marvel has planned for these characters.
WandaVision Season 2 Trailer
Because the second season of WandaVision is yet to be confirmed, there is no trailer to go along with it.
This is what Olsen has to say on WandaVision Season 2
Olsen discussed if WandavVision will renew for Season 2 in an interview with Variety. “It’s certainly a limited series,” Olsen said. “I mean, that’s what I’m saying. I’m not sure. I mean, with Marvel, you can never say no,” she said, obviously not ruling out the idea of a sequel.
Season 2 may see Wanda and Vision’s children’s return
Wanda gives birth to twins Billy and Tommy at the end of WandaVision‘s third episode, fueling discussion over whether the duo may grow up to be Young Avengers Wiccan and Speed from the comics. When Wanda relinquishes control of Westview, they, like their father, evaporate.
However, Wanda hears someone cry out to her during a post-credits scene in which she is seen perusing The Book of the Damned. The voices sound uncannily similar to those of her children. Is it possible that they are still living in a parallel universe? If that’s the case, we’ll most likely see them again, either in a film or in WandaVision Season 2.
The drama’s premise
Wanda Maximoff and Vision are enjoying an idyllic suburban existence in the town of Westview, New Jersey, three weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). They are attempting to disguise their actual natures. The pair suspects that things aren’t as they appear as their surroundings shift over decades and they encounter numerous television cliches.
Music of WandaVision
Christophe Beck, who previously scored Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp, stated in January 2020 that he will write the soundtrack for the series.
Beck used period-appropriate instrumentation, writing style, and recording and mixing techniques to pay respect to the sitcoms of each era. Early episodes include modest symphonic groups, but later episodes have a more rock-pop style, with the music growing more ubiquitous as the series proceeds.
