But showrunner Sera Gamble said to Newsweek, that Love is dead and won’t return in the show but may be seen in the flashbacks.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pedretti expressed her character Love’s death in the show “It was pretty crazy to see the actual way that I was going to die. It felt very unique and strange, and I didn’t really understand how to act it out, but I was very excited to rise to the challenge.”

Badgely also expressed why he feels that it was the right decision for the story to bring that part with Entertainment Weekly, “They’ve had their arc. We’ve gone to a lot of places, seen the highs and the lows, and it felt like, ‘Okay if this is going to happen, it’s time. To me, it marks a really significant close to the chapters we’ve known of Joe. I do think that there’s got to be some really significant, fundamental shifts in the way the whole device of Joe is going to keep working. Because now we’ve seen him go through so, so much. In terms of the show and its tone, maybe there’s a pre-Love and post-Love, because I don’t know how much can be repeated.”

You Season 4 Plot

The story will start from where it left in last season. In last season, we saw Joe in Paris looking for Marienne. We can assume that they two make reunite and will have conflicts.

In an interview, Gamble hinted that baby Henry can play in the next season and Joe may have a feeling of guilt as he abandoned him.

While speaking with Collider, Badgley has also hinted, that the upcoming season may be different from the rest of the seasons, “I think it might be more about Joe’s relationship with himself. Because this isn’t really a show about a murderer, this is a show about … I think it’s taking the mistakes that we make in relationships to the extreme for the sake of a good story. Like, we really need to lay down our swords and stop being competitive in relationships, but that’s very hard to do.”
