Are you a Marvel fan? If yes then you have a piece of great news coming ahead. Loki Season 2 is on its way as you all believed. The series ended its freshman run in the 2021 summer and also announced that it would be coming up with another round of multiverse adventures. It will be Marvel’s first Disney+ show that is promoted with the second season.
But the Marvel fans were not given any updates about the upcoming season and it made it obvious that MCU fans have to wait longer for the Tom Hiddleston series to return.
According to Backstage, the season will start its filming this summer. Also, the site released that the production will take place at Pinewood Studios in the UK. The first season of Loki was filmed at the Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.
Loki Season 2 Cast
The cast isn’t confirmed yet and also who will return or not. On the assumption from the first season, we can expect, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Agent Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Eugene Cordero as Casey, and Tara Strong as Miss Minutes.
Loki season 2 Plot
As such plot details are not revealed but we have some of the details. Hiddleston told Marvel.com that there are a lot of “deep, deep discussions” about Loki Season 2 and he hopes it will be more fun and with lots of surprises.
According to RadioTimes.com Hiddleston added that they cannot reveal about the upcoming season, “We can’t say anything [about season two] unfortunately – we’d love to give you something [but we can’t].”
He also spoke with Variety expressing in regard to Loki’s fans, “I understand the audience sees good in Loki — they want him to get past his internal and external obstacles. They want him to repair that relationship with his brother and step into the hero that he can be.”
He added about his character and how he choose his path, “Actually, I can choose my path and choose to do the right thing. Or I choose, at least, not to repeat the same old tricks that I repeated over and over in a cycle of trust and betrayal.’ It’s exciting to retain all the characteristics that make Loki, Loki, and at the same time to play slightly different music within him.”
We can expect the opening of the upcoming season in 2 ways, the first can be seeing Loki examined by Mobius about who is he and Loki will reveal all the real identity of Kang and they will join up a force to stop him. This will lead Mobius and Loki to reprise their cop relation back from Loki Season 1 early episodes. This will make the fans happy.
The upcoming season will start where the story ended in the last season. For the time being, no official synopsis is released by the makers or the production house.
