We’re sure the detective in you wants more of Netflix’s latest murder mystery, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, which premiered on January 28, 2022. The satirical psychological thriller features Kristen Bell as Anna, a woman who looks at the world through her window and witnesses a murder. Does this ring a bell? For quite some time now, this theme has been the success formula of modern murder mysteries. (The Woman in the Window (2011), The Girl on the Train (2015))
If you consume too much modern domestic murder-mystery content like us, the show’s ridiculously long title will be familiar to you too. In fact, the show was put together for people like that, and we even have inside jokes in the show, you know?

The Woman in the House Season 2 Plot
Season one’s mystery was quite wrapped up in the finale episode. But at the end of Season 1, we saw Anna (Kristen Bell) on a plane to New York, and folks, she doesn’t drink wine anymore! Only vodka. She has reunited with Douglas and they have a baby girl together, and everything seemed fine until her seatmate vanished into thin air!
Her seatmate is a woman (Glenn Close) who says she is going to New York on business and uses a compact mirror to check her look.
Anna wakes up later to use the restroom and realizes that her seatmate has been killed. The body, however, has vanished by the time she phones the flight attendant. The flight attendant then informs Anna that she does not have a seatmate. Maybe Anna had a hallucination, but wait, the woman’s compact mirror is on the seat! So, what exactly is going on here? Now that’s a question for Season 2.

All we can say is that the creators are planning it considering season one’s success and might be setting up for a possible season two. But Netflix hasn’t officially renewed it yet.

The Woman in the House features Kristen Bell as the lead character, Anna, and according to her promotional interviews, she is open to returning for Season 2. In addition, the other possible returning cast members include Michael Ealy as Douglas, Anna’s ex-husband and forensic psychiatrist; Cameron Britton as handyman Buell; Mary Holland as Anna’s friend Sloane; and Brenda Coo as Anna’s neighbor Carol.
Where can you watch The Woman in the House Season 2?
The show will be exclusively available on Netflix. The first season is pretty new and is currently streaming on Netflix.
