Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber Plot

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber will follow Uber’s beginnings and the rise and fall of Travis Kalanick, the company’s co-founder and former CEO.

After a series of internal disputes, power struggles, and charges of unethical corporate culture, Kalanick was dismissed by his board of directors in 2017. He remained on the board of directors until December 31, 2019, but not before selling 90 percent of his shares in the ride-hailing company, netting $2.5 billion in profit before taxes.

Susan Fowler, an employee, exposed a culture of sexual harassment and sexism at Uber in a blog post titled ‘Reflecting On One Very, Very Strange Year At Uber,’ which will also be addressed in the movie.

It’s clear this series will center on greed, power, technology, and ego. The line “We are disrupters because that is what revolution requires” is stated in one clip, pointing out the effort to find the behavior of tech founders excusable—even when their actions involve privacy violations and moral misconduct.
