The series introduced a dystopian world where Tokyo is abandoned and trapped people are pitted against each other in dangerous and deadly games for a little more time to live. After the massive following and huge number of viewing hours, Alice in Borderland was renewed for a second season, just two weeks after the first season was released. It is most expected to hit the Netflix screens somewhere around December 2022. As per the information given till now, the filming of the new season has been finished.
Even then, there has been no surfacing of details like how many episodes would be there and the release format of the series, however, the followers have started making assumptions regarding the upcoming project. As we know, the series is based on a manga with which it shares the name. The first season covered roughly 31 chapters of the said manga and left with 33 more. So, it is being speculated that length and episode count of the second season will be very much similar to the first one.

Alice in Borderland Season 1: Recap

Season 1 starts off as a normal day in Tokyo but mysteriously gets abandoned and there starts a game of survival with a city-wide range. In this new dystopian world, you don’t live till you earn each and every moment of your life. To earn the ‘visa’ to live some more, one has to play strangers and loved ones alike in potentially dangerous and deadly games.
The deadlines and difficulty of the game is decided on the basis of playing cards. Along with his two friends, Arisu too takes part in the deadly games and eventually loses his friends. He bumps into Usagi and together they go out on a venture to fix everything. By the end of the first season, they meet the gamemaster, Mira Kano, who hints to the fact that there is more to the story now and nothing is finished yet.
Alice in Borderland Season 2 Plot
As in the ending of the first season, Mira tells the viewers that there’s more to the story but what exactly, no one knows for sure. However, it can be expected that Arisu and Usagi will stick together to figure a way out by finding the final cards and it might end up like the two of them directly going against the gamemaster. The possibilities are endless as there was no specific cliffhanger in the story.
