Disney+ has finally dropped the trailer of the upcoming musical, Better Nate Than Ever. The light-hearted trailer gives a sneak-peek into the coming-of-age story. Directed by Tim Federle, Better Nate Than Ever is based on his own award-winning novel which came out back in 2013 and shares the name with the upcoming project. The book highlights Federle’s experiences as a theatre kid and his own dream to make it to Broadway one day. The trailer has a vibrant and vivid vibe. It has a fun tone to it and the elements like friendships, dreams and hopes have been impeccably portrayed. Better Nate Than Ever Plot
The story follows Nate Foster, a 13 year old, studying in seventh grade, who lives in Pittsburg. He has a certain love for acting and dreams to be on a Broadway musical someday. However, things didn’t turn out as he wishes and he continued being overlooked and casted as side actors when he aspire and believes himself to be a lead.
Things turned drastically when Nate, along with Libby, his best friend and a theatre kid like him, found a casting announcement for a new musical. Together they sneaked away to the Big Apple to try their luck where they accidently bumped into Nate’s aunt Heidi who has been working on the Broadway for a while now. Together, they do crazy things and try their best to fulfil their dreams.

The musical stars Rueby Wood as the star lead, Nate Foster. Rueby has been a Broadway actor for a while now. He has starred in first national Broadway tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2018-2019. Joshua Bassett has bagged the role of Nate’s older brother, Anthony Foster. He’s well know for his role in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series as Ricky Bowen. Aria Brooks is playing the role of Liddy, Nate’s best friend and Lisa Kudrow got the role of Aunt Heidi. Lisa is well known among the generations due to her role as Phoebe in the sit-com series, Friends.
