Superheroes, superpowers, a game that takes you to another world, and a curious group of kids. Nothing is new. From Stranger Things to Raising Dion, we have seen it all, and more, in these shows. And if after Stranger Things, there’s another show that has got people talking is Netflix’s sci-fi adventure drama, Raising Dion.
Season 2 of the hit show premiered on Netflix only about a month ago in February 2022 and fans have already started anticipating Raising Dion Season 3.
Produced by Michael B Jordan’s Outlier Society who struck a deal in 2021 with Amazon studios for OTT premieres, now keeps the fans hooked as there is speculation of a new season.
Here is everything we know about Raising Dion Season 3 and whether it’s happening or not.
Raising Dion Season 3: Is it renewed or canceled?
While there is no official announcement to substantiate the renewal of Raising Dion, there has been no update on the cancelation, too. So, in the absence of an official announcement for renewal, we can only hope for Raising Dion Season 3 or wait until it gets officially renewed.
Raising Dion Season 3 Release Date
Since all we have for now are speculations about Raising Dion Season 3, it’s difficult to predict a release date for the same. More so, when we are quite unsure if at all the new season will happen. Another disappointment for the fans is that there exists only a 50 percent chance of Raising Dion Season 3 coming in anytime soon and the lack of an official announcement only makes things uncertain. And even though the official handles were active with speaking about the show and how it has gained popularity no hints were dropped in about a new season which can be all the more disappointing for the fans.
Raising Dion Season 3 Plot: What can we expect?
If at all a new season comes out, we may see that our protagonists have all grown up and might also see extended roles to newer characters. We can also expect a seemingly intense face-off between Dion and Pat. That said, we can’t predict more for Raising Dion Season 3 as it may completely take us by surprise with new twists and turns. We can expect more fantasy, and our imagination can also reach new heights because the new season may leave us spellbound because anything can happen with a show that portrays a child as the central character.
Raising Dion Season 2 Recap
While The Crooked Man’s first host Pat (Jason Ritter) was defeated, Dion (Ja’Siah Young) comes to realize that energy doesn’t die, but rather simply changes form, as the Crooked energy possesses classmate Brayden (Griffin Robert Faulkner). In the meantime, Dion gains a new trainer in the form of Tevin (Rome Flynn), who quickly becomes a love interest for Dion’s mother Nicole (Alisha Wainright). Raising Dion Season 2 also explores new powers that Dion learns at Biona. Season 2 ended with Nicole and Dion facing a ‘familiar’ villain and his army of minions. With such exclusive twists and turns, fans can only wait for a new season unless this show goes out of sight and out of mind for them.
An interesting thing about Raising Dion is that even though it is not a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC, it is based on a comic of the same name that came out in 2015. In case you haven’t watched it yet, here is the trailer of season 2 for you.
Raising Dion was on top of the Netflix view charts for almost a month. IMDb data also shows how season 1 was in the top 17 while season 2 was in the top 70. After nearly occupying 32 million accounts viewing space, 60% of which out of the USA, the show developed itself a dedicated fanbase. Many reviews say how this show is loved for the fantasy land it sends its viewers into.
