FBI: Most Wanted Season 5: What is the potential release date?

To be very honest with you, as of writing this, we are not sure what the potential release window for the upcoming season is going to be!

Earlier this year, CBS was quick to unveil the fall 2023 lineup, which included the majority of the original series along with the entire FBI franchise, which was an exciting update for the fans and a major relief to know that the creators are aiming for the show’s official return to be set in the same schedule that is followed by previous seasons. With all this great news, it seems like no further delays will be happening in the release anytime soon.

But alas, it looks like the prophecy has been doomed because we are quite certain in reporting this that the confirmed 2023–24 primetime schedule has been overshadowed by sudden changes that are likely to be revealed in the following weeks, as indicated by George Cheeks, President and CEO, CBS, and Chief Content Officer, during a keynote at Banff moderated by Deadline’s Peter White. He elaborated that the revised CBS fall scheduling plans will officially be revealed soon.

“First of all, obviously it’s going to be very reality-heavy,” he said.

Sadly, it looks like CBS didn’t factor in the potential impact of the ongoing writers’ strike and a possible SAG-AFTRA work stoppage. Making it one of the main reasons for such speculation to spread like wildfire now almost confirming that the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, which hasn’t been resolved and has already started to cause major delays in various productions as the writer’s room has stopped working on scripts until a proper resolution is made in their favor.

In conclusion, there is a chance that the series might be aiming to release later in 2023 or even some time in 2024 if production is unable to resume this summer season. It is still expected to follow a similar schedule, with new episodes airing every Tuesday at 10/9 on CBS and later on Paramount Plus. Until then, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next. Right now, one can only hope that the best outcome is derived from this situation and that both the writers and fans are treated fairly.

FBI: Most Wanted Season 5: What can we expect?

Even though there is limited information about the next season’s exact plotlines and character arcs, we are certain that the upcoming season of the popular series will definitely carry the show’s theme, which has been loved by fans for years, as follows: “FBI: Most Wanted” is a high-stakes drama focusing on the Fugitive Task Force, which relentlessly tracks and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list. The team functions as a mobile undercover unit that is always out in the field, pursuing those who are most desperate to elude justice.

The next season is expected to pick up from the fourth season’s final episode, “Heaven Falling,” which was directed by Ken Girotti and written by David Hudgins. In the episode, the viewers get to see that the team helps Remy try to catch his brother’s real killer 25 years after Mikey was murdered. The series is expected to develop in favor of the fans’ expectations. We suggest fans patiently wait and binge-watch Season 4, which ended last month, in order to update their recollection of certain significant plotlines and keep an eye out for details that will be released in the coming weeks.
