For linear viewers, the show will premiere every Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. While you wait for the episode to premiere, check out this official post of the cast talking about what to expect in the new season, as shared on the official Twitter handle, quoting, “If you’re anything like me, you can’t stop talking about the #Outlander premiere! Now it’s our cast and producers’ turn to talk about it.”

Outlander Season 7 Episode 2: What to expect?

This season follows after the harrowing events of Season 6. Jamie and Young Ian race to rescue Claire before she’s tried and wrongfully convicted for the murder of Malva Christie. But their mission is complicated by the beginning of a geopolitical firestorm: The American Revolution has arrived. In the seventh season of Outlander, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent birth pains of an emerging nation as armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of armed rebellion.

The land the Frasers call home is changing – and they must change with it. In order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers have to navigate the perils of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind. As the conflict draws them out of North Carolina and into the heart of this fight for independence, Jamie, Claire, Brianna, and Roger are faced with impossible decisions that have the potential to tear their family apart.

*Spoiler Alert*

If you haven’t streamed the first episode, we suggest you stop reading any further to avoid any major spoilers for the next episode, which is listed below.

The official synopsis of the second episode, The Happiest Place on Earth, which is written by Toni Graphia, states: “Claire makes a startling discovery about Roger and Brianna’s newborn daughter; a familiar face returns to the Ridge with explosive consequences.”

The second episode will definitely continue the plotlines and character arcs from the seventh season’s first episode, A Life Well Lost, in which the viewers saw Claire is seen hanging from a rope. Jamie wakes from his nightmare, determined to rescue her.

However, she has been summoned to tend to a pregnant woman, so she is not at the jail when Jamie arrives. No one will reveal her location. Claire, still a prisoner, asks for medical supplies. She is able to send her request to Tom Christie. Jamie arrives with the supplies, and they are reunited.

Take a look at the official promo for Outlander Season 7 Episode 2 below, which highlights that in order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers have to navigate the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes, to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind.
