Though no such official notice is made, it’s believed the series was suffering from a financial crisis. Since CBS has put significant budget cuts, including 25 % for above the live talent. The reason behind it can only be the financial situation. On Friday that the cast and producers agreed to salary reductions to keep the show going and keep hundreds of crew and other support personnel whose livelihood depends on it employed. So we can say the Road for Blue Bloods Season 14 renewal wasn’t easy. Many actors and producers have agreed to a smaller salary despite being the top series.
“Blue Bloods has dominated Friday nights since its premiere and remained an important anchor for CBS’ winning lineup,” said Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment. “Led by the outstanding Tom Selleck, and an incredible cast and creative team, viewers continue to embrace the Reagans, their law enforcement family, and the series’ dramatic storytelling. We can’t wait to pull a chair up to the Reagan family dinner table for another fantastic season.”
Blue Bloods have been Friday night’s no. 1 program with around 9.54 million viewers. The series is one of the top ten programs on Paramount+ & it ranked as the sixth most-viewed channel on Pluto TV in 2023. These are a few reasons why the series got renewed despite being late. Hopefully, all the struggles of the actors and others be fruitful & Blue Bloods Season 14 will be a hit! Until then, let’s keep up with Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 16, released on March 31, 2023!
