Birgitte Nyborg joins the table again, this time as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. When finally things felt as if they are falling into place, a drilling company found oil in the icy plains of Greenland. With such a big discovery, came a new struggle of power between countries like the US, Russia, and China as we all know, something like oil reserves can become a reason behind decades of war.

- Sidse Babett Knudsen as Birgitte Nyborg
She was the leader of a minority political party, the “Moderates” and was expecting something averagely good out of the elections but somehow finds herself as the first woman prime minister of the country. Jumping to Borgen: Power and Glory Season 1, she gets appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. With that came a new set of challenges for her.
- Mikael Birkkjær as Phillip Christensen
He is Birgitte’s husband. The duo split up very early in the series.
- Freja Riemann as Laura Christensen, Birgitt and Phillip’s daughter.
- Emil Poulsen as Magnus Christensen, Birgitt and Phillip’s son.
- Pilou Asbæk as Kasper Juul, a journalist who has worked for Nyborg as her Communications Chief while she held the office.
- Birgitte Hjort Sørensen as Katrine Fønsmark
Initially, she worked as a TV1/Ekspres journalist. However, when Nyborg left the office and formed her own political party by the name New Democrats, she took the job as their Campaign Manager.
