When will the Bridgertons be back on Netflix? Here’s everything we know about Bridgerton Season 3 so far.
It is certain that Bridgerton Season 3 will return to your screen in 2023, but fans will have to wait a little longer because production appears to be ongoing, despite previously being reported to be completed in December 2022. It is now clear that the timeframe has been extended, with no major updates disclosed yet as filming continues, which typically takes about six months, plus some time for post-production to complete the episodes as preferred.
If you’ve been following the show, you’re aware that many rumors circulated that producer Shonda Rhimes halted production due to her dissatisfaction with some of the storylines, but Netflix denied the rumors. In addition to this, many outlets reported, with one being the UK site Metro, which published photos of the cast filming in Bath, England, which were recently on January 17, 2023, indicating that the show was still in production last month, which makes the fans assume they’re still shooting.
As highlighted by many outlets and if we consider this information, then the potential release date for Bridgerton Season 3 appears to be unlikely to be in the spring or March of 2023. But if we were to guess, we suspect Netflix is setting up Bridgerton Season 3 for a mid-2023 release, which will be perfect for summer 2023. We would like to highlight that many fans believe that, just like the first season, it can also be released in time for Christmas, which is a long time!
Moreover, if we take most of the Netflix series into consideration with a bit of speculation, then the new season will have the same premiere time as other shows on the streaming service, which is 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET). In order to receive updates on when the show premieres on Netflix, interested viewers can also enable notifications. Of course, this is just speculation, and the fans should wait and keep a closer eye on the social media handles of the show to know about all the latest details and updates.

Bridgerton Season 3: What we know so far
Unlike the first two seasons which followed the order of the book series, the third season will focus on Colin, based on Quinn’s fourth novel, “Romancing Mister Bridgerton.” The official synopsis for season 3 by Netflix states: From Shondaland and new showrunner, Jess Brownell, Bridgerton is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season.
However, she has decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly. Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he’s disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder.
Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly. Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.
Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton will be the main actors surrounding the story for the new season. The other cast members include Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Lorraine Ashbourne as Mrs. Varley, Simone Ashley as Kate, Viscountess Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey as Viscount Anthony Bridgerton, Harriet Cains as Philippa Finch, Bessie Carter as Prudence Featherington, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton, Ruth Gemmell as Violet, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton, Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton.
Along with Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton, Polly Walker as Portia, Dowager Baroness Featherington, and Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown. The new cast members in the third season will be played by Daniel Francis as Marcus Anderson, Sam Phillips as Lord Debling, and James Phoon as Harry Dankworth. In October 2022, Hannah New joined the cast as Lady Tilley Arnold. Unfortunately, Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton in the first two seasons, has confirmed she will not be returning for season three.
The next season is speculated to have 8 episodes with an average runtime of 57 to 72 minutes to be consistent with the prior seasons. Additionally, the entire series is available exclusively on Netflix, with other series of the same genre also accessible on the streaming platform with a range of membership options. The basic membership starts at $9.99 per month, and the standard membership starts at $15.49 per month, with no additional cost for any of their services depending on the package you choose. Meanwhile, check out Nicola Coughlan’s giving exclusive look at Lady Whistledown’s first column of Season 3!
