Cara Delevingne recalls some “wild things” she got Taylor Swift to do while they were roommates.
Delevingne, 32, and Swift, 34 have been close friends since the 2010s, but it shocked fans when the ‘Suicide Squad’ actress revealed that they were roommates for a while.
During her talk with Nikki Glaser, another of Swift’s friends for Interview magazine on November 21, Delevingne explained that after a “really horrible breakup,” the ‘Endgame’ hitmaker let her live with her for a while.
The model and actress went on to explain their personalities as roommates, saying that they were opposites. Swift was a complete homebody and Delevingne loved to be out and about. However, with time she lured the ‘Karma’ artist into doing a lot of things that can be considered wild.
Speaking to Glaser, she revealed, “We’re very different people. She’s very homely, because she looked after me so well, but we got into some—not trouble, but I definitely took her for a bit of a wild ride.”
The ‘Paper Towns’ actress then shared that she sometimes would tell the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer some X-rated jokes which would make her “blush.” Delevingne dated Ashley Benson before her relationship with musician Minke around that time.
Glaser and the model then went over Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady, which the former hosts, and said that they knew Swift would love to be a part of it. Nikki, admitting that she was a Swiftie, said that she would love for the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ singer to participate, but would get “angry if anyone was really mean” to Swift.
However, the ‘Life In A Year’ actor went on to remind the comedian of how hilarious Swift really is, saying, “She’s one of the funniest, most clever people,” before adding, “Anyone could roast her easily, but at the same time, she could f–k everyone up so hard.” Being so close to the 14-times Grammy winner, Cara said, “I could definitely roast her.”
Delevingne and Swift have expressed their close bond in public several times. For instance, the two shared a playful moment on The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2013, where Delevingne was a model and Swift was a guest performer. As the two cross paths, they smacked each other’s rears. Check out the performance here.
Additionally, the ‘Only Murders In The Building’ alum also appeared in Swift’s chart-topping 2014 hit, ‘Bad Blood’ featuring Kendrick Lamar and several of the popstars close gal pals like Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Martha Stewart, Ellie Goulding, and Zendaya.
Recently, the ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker was seen supporting her ex-roommate during her Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club play on London’s West End.
Delevingne also publically approved Swift’s whirlwind romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce while speaking to E! News in November 2023. She said at the time, “I’m so, so happy for her,” before adding, “There’s definitely something very different about them. I’m always rooting for my girl.”
