Netflix anytime soon.
Chicago Med is a medical drama series that is the third installment of Wolf Entertainment’s Chicago franchise. The series is set in Chicago and follows the emergency department at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and the lives of its doctors and nurses as they work to save their patients’ lives. They try to navigate the busy ER dramas and their unique interpersonal relationships. The show sometimes crosses over with the characters from other franchises, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
The series is created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, and the first season of the show premiered on NBC on November 17, 2015. It was renewed for a sixth, seventh, and eighth season by NBC in February 2020 and the sixth season premiered on November 11, 2020, followed by a seventh season on September 22, 2021. The seventh season arrived last year, and now, fans are wondering if Season 7 of the show will arrive on Netflix or not.
Here’s everything you need to know about Chicago Med Season 7 on Netflix.
Will Chicago Med Season 7 arrive on Netflix?
The latest season of the series will not be available on Netflix. All the previous seasons are still available on the streamer, but according to the licensing deal struck by Netflix and NBC, the streaming platform will no longer have access to seasons from Season 6 on. People who have Hulu will face the same problem. The platform will not be able to run the new episodes, and it will not update past Season 6. All you can do as of now is watch the new episodes as they get released on NBC.
Chicago Med Season 7 Release Date
Chicago Med Season 7 of the series premiered on the official network, NBC, on September 22, 2021. As the license deal with NBC restricts Netflix from releasing any further seasons of the show, Chicago Med Season 7 will never release on Netflix, and thus, there is no release date available for the same.
Chicago Med Season 7 Plot
In the finale of Season 6, Natalie’s Mom finally received a new heart, and between all the drama that came with it, she also seemed to get some closure with Crockett. She seemed to patch things up with Will, and that led her to make an important decision in the finale when she confessed to Goodwin that she was responsible for stealing the trail drugs, not Will.
April gets into the nurse practitioners program and watched Ethan almost die! Dean’s patient made a scene in the parking lot, and when Ethan lunges to try and get the weapon from him, he accidentally gets shot in the chest in the process. Luckily, Ethan was saved, and when he woke up, April confessed that she loved him very much.
The season ended with Goodwin firing Will for crossing lines with the trial, but before the ending, Natalie chased after Goodwin to admit the truth that she stole the drugs. In the seventh season, we got the answer to the question if Will could return to the Med once Natalie came clear, even after crossing lines and lying to Goodwin or if Natalie’s efforts to save Will are gone in vain.
Also, Ethan still has to undergo physical therapy and with a long recovery ahead, Goodwin made Dean the interim chief of the ED and it will be very exciting to see how will he handle everything, given the concerns Ethan has had about his decision-making skills in the past. You can watch the seventh season on NBC and get all the answers to the above questions, as the seventh season won’t be arriving on Netflix.
