Are you ready to delve back into the world of American medical drama television series? Here is everything we know so far about Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 16.
After a short hiatus, the series is finally back with a brand new episode which is scheduled to release this week on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the same time slot of 8 p.m. ET, followed by “Chicago Fire” Season 11 at 9 p.m. ET, and concluding with “Chicago P.D.” Season 10 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC and later on Paramount Plus.
The network has also released the official synopsis which states, “Halstead and Cuevas struggle to diagnose a patient with a rare disorder; CFD and Med staff work to free a paranoid father trapped in the MRI suite; Tanaka-Reed gets an ego check.” The episode is directed by Timothy Busfield and written by Eli Talbert, and Danny Weiss.
Take a look at the official promo for the episode to get a glimpse into the plot and character arcs below:
The episode will definitely pick up from the prior episode, “Those Times You Have to Cross the Line,” which showcased that the hospital is in disarray when the janitors go on strike; Marcel treats a young girl injured on her family’s farm; Charles and Cuevas’ schizophrenic patient returns to Med; Archer encounters a patient with foreign material in her stomach. If you have noticed the pomo closely there is a lot to unpack here as the protagonist of the tale is a paranoid patient who is confined to an MRI machine.
If the patient is paranoid, he might believe that the doctors are poisoning him and refuse to take his medicine, making it difficult for Dr. Charles to keep him calm. If the rescue isn’t done properly, the patient could suffer severe physical harm. CFD acknowledges that they are unsure of where to start with this rescue mission after Hannah informs one of the firefighters that the magnets in the MRI are preventing the patient from bleeding out.
