There are several Canadian drama series that are popular not just in Canada but also in other parts of the world, one such series is the mystery thriller series Coroner. For the unversed, Coroner is a police procedural crime drama series that is based on the Jenny Cooper crime novels by M. R. Hall.
The series is about a recently widowed woman, Dr. Jenny Cooper, who investigates the suspicious, unnatural, or sudden deaths in Toronto. It reflects the rich, racial, class, and gender diversity of the city. Every death in the city brings her into a new arena, and she solves the cases along with the help of Homicide Detective Donovan “Mac” McAvoy. Jenny solves the mysterious deaths, all while dealing with clinical anxiety, a teenage son, and the feelings she has for the enigmatic Liam.
The series was developed by Morwyn Brebner and premiered on CBC on 7 January 2019. The fourth season aired on 6 January 2022, and fans are now anxiously waiting for the next installment in the series.

Will there be a Season 5 of Coroner?
There’s no information on the renewal status of the series for a fifth season as of now. The series is not canceled yet. So, there’s a possibility that it will be renewed. But, we just have to wait for the official announcement from the makers.

Coroner Season 5 Release Date
Since Coroner Season 5 is yet to be renewed, there’s no release date for the same as of now. All we can do right now is make a guess as to when the next season will arrive. The fourth season began on January 6, 2022, and ended on April 7, 2022. So, if the makers decide to follow the previous schedule, Coroner Season 5 should premiere sometime in 2023. But these are mere speculations, and nothing can be said for the future of the series as of now.
Coroner Season 5 Plot
The official synopsis 5 has not been confirmed, but we expect the fifth season is expected to continue from the events of Season 4. In season 4, we saw that Jenny clashes with her replacement Coroner, and the reason was that the investigation of a fatal car crash has happened. We also saw the death of a Chinese restaurant owner create outrage. So, we expect the fifth season to continue from where the last season left, along with a few additions to the storyline.
