EXO member Chanyeol may soon make his solo comeback with a new album, as per reports.
If the latest speculations and media reports about the K-pop star’s recent activities are true, his solo album will be released in late August.
The new album’s release will happen almost a year after Chanyeol’s first-ever solo album, Black Out. The earlier EP claimed No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 51 regions, including several other music charts in Korea and China.
It was after the unveiling of this solo EP that Chanyeol also launched his solo tour titled “City-scape.” The EXO member also visited his fans in 11 cities across Asia and performed at an encore show in Seoul.

Old video of EXO members goes viral
Just as Chanyeol prepares for his solo comeback, the EXO members have grabbed the headlines again for an entirely different reason. It’s regarding an old interview involving Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Xiumin. In the video, the three K-pop stars shared some words of wisdom with younger artists after being part of the industry for more than 13 years. It was Baekhyun’s comment that specifically went viral for addressing the harsh reality of the industry.
In clear words, he said, “Don’t make a lot of other celebrity friends.” While this piece of advice left everyone in the vicinity shocked, Chanyeol and Xiumin tried to lighten the situation by joking about having little to no celebrity friends to celebrate their success.
The three of them were attending the online variety show titled Eunchae’s Star Diary by LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae. It was in the 16th episode aired in 2023 that the EXO member made this comment about the K-pop industry.
Now, two years later, the video has gone viral again, with many fans stating that this is not the first time Baekhyun has warned his celebrity friends regarding the industry’s dark truth. Check out some of their reactions below:
