FBI Season 6 Expected Release Date and Time Slot

Even though there is still a lot of time left for the premiere of the much anticipated sixth season, the finale episode, “God Complex,” of the fifth season is scheduled to air later this month on May 23, 2023, at the same time slot of 9:00–10:00 PM, ET/PT. So, it makes sense that the rollout of the new season will take a break in order to premiere the new episode sometime around the fall of this year, which is the September 2023 broadcast season on the CBS network.

If you have been keeping up with the show, then you’ll know that it has a history of taking a break for a few months before premiering brand-new episodes. Therefore, we can be sure that the sixth season will follow the same pattern. This can only happen if the production starts on schedule in the next few weeks without unnecessary delays. In addition to this, we would like to point out that, at this point in time, this is just pure speculation! Anything can be changed, and these details will be confirmed by the network.

So, we urge the readers to be up-to-date with the official social media handles of the show. Until then, check out the official renewal announcement as shared on FBI’s Twitter handle, quoting, “Our cast has some fantastic news to share: #FBICBS has been renewed for Season 5 AND Season 6! #TheFBIs” Take a look at the official post below:

FBI Season 6: What to expect in the new season?

Right now, the exact plotlines of the new season haven’t been disclosed, as everything has been kept hush-hush. But we are certain that the sixth season will undoubtedly pick up from the final episode of Season 5, “God Complex,” in which the viewers will get to see that when a prominent doctor is found dead in a ritualistic slaying, the team must race against time to hunt down a religiously motivated serial killer. Also, Scola faces a life-or-death decision.

The series is anticipated to develop the core premise of the show, which is as follows: Born into a multigenerational law enforcement family, Special Agent Maggie Bell commits deeply to the people she works with as well as those she protects. Her partner is Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan, a West Point graduate via Bushwick who spent two years undercover for the DEA before being cherry-picked by the FBI. Overseeing them is Special Agent in Charge, Isobel Castille, who operates under intense pressure and has undeniable command authority.

The team also includes Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, the nerve center of the office whose ability to easily relate to and engage with both superiors and subordinates makes him a master motivator. Newest to the team – and the FBI – is smart and outspoken Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, who spent six years with the NYPD and is now partner to Special Agent Stuart Scola, an Ivy League-educated Wall Streeter-turned-FBI agent.

FBI Season 6: How many episodes will there be?

As of writing this, we can assure the readers that the official episode count of the new season has been revealed by the network to be around 22 episodes with an average runtime of 44 minutes, just like the prior seasons, which are expected to drop on a weekly basis. This episode count is accurate if you are familiar with the show’s history, then you’ll know that the show tends to take mid-season breaks, which is perfect to roll out the episodes on a proper schedule.

When available, the episodes will air on CBS and later on Paramount Plus, just like the prior seasons. The viewers can also catch up on all the seasons on FuboTV. Moreover, all seasons of FBI are also available for renting or purchase on Amazon Instant Video and Vudu, with a vast number of membership plans according to user preferences. Moreover, the series is also available to watch exclusively on CBS’s official website, where the episodes are published after they air on the TV channel.

FBI Season 6: Is there any new official teaser?

We would like to highlight that the filming of the sixth season hasn’t even been completed yet, so the network can’t produce or start to advertise a teaser using fresh scenes from the upcoming season, which is why there haven’t been any new teaser trailers for it to reveal some plotlines. Hence, we urge the readers to wait and be patient for some time!

Meanwhile, check out this newly released official promo of FBI Season 5 Episode 21, “Privilege,” which will air on May 9, 2023, and follow, “All eyes are on the team when it tries to find out who kidnapped the only child of a prominent U.S. senator; the abduction also uncovers a potential link to a similar case that was pushed to the side by local authorities.”
