Gaslit Season 1 Episode 6: A Quick Recap
The previous episode, Tuffy, was released on May 29, 2022. The episode was directed by Matt Ross and written by Uzoamaka Maduka & Sofya Levitsky-Weitz. The official synopsis of the episode states, “Frank Wills, the security guard who lost his job at Watergate after the raid, is having trouble. As Martha returns to her hometown in Arkansas, Mo faces something unexpected.”
Moreover, the episode is estimated to be viewed by 0.217 million US viewers. We have highlighted the key takeaways of the episode that happened without spoiling major plotlines. First, let’s take a look at the official clip of the episode in which Frank and Tuffy give Mo and John Dean’s relationship a run for their money. In Episode 6, the cast and crew provide some insight into the growing relationships.
The penultimate episode of the series will address the events which happened in the sixth episode of Gaslit and expand more in the story to reach its concluding episode on June 12, 2022. Hence, in the sixth episode, the viewers got to see Frank Willis wakes up in his dimly lit apartment in the first scene of the episode. After being fired as a result of the Watergate incident for being “too much of a distraction,” he relocated to Australia.
Frank’s loneliness is shared by his cat ‘Tuffy,’ whom he introduces to the attractive journalist Janelle Lewis as his rightful partner to combat the urge of not being able to make a living. On the other hand, the episode’s major stratagem is focused on John Dean and how he is both enraged and terrified to testify in front of a live audience. Mo is assisting Dean as he prepares to speak on camera in the middle of a courtroom hearing with no attorney present.

In the midst of it all, she informs him that she is expecting a child. Dean eventually panics, fearing that he will be exposed as a sissy and mocked in the same way that Magruder’s testimony was mocked on Sesame Street. Martha Mitchell, on the other hand, has taken a break due to the gloom she was experiencing. She and her daughter are currently residing in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, which she refers to as “home.” John Mitchell sees her off and teases her about taking more time off and not coming back to testify against the president.

The majority of republicans in her town, including her own daughter, oppose her testifying. Midway through, Martha comes to her senses and tells her husband that she might as well wait in Pine Bluff longer, only to change her mind again after a republican insults her. Despite Marty’s obvious displeasure with her decision, Martha decides to return to D.C.Meanwhile, Moo, who has been extremely patient with Dean, keeps quiet about the fact that she gave birth to a child while Dean was preparing for his testimony.
Later, the two have a falling out when Mo admits that she miscarried the baby while preparing for his testimony and that she doesn’t want to be someone’s ally for the rest of her life. As the episode reaches its climax and conclusion, Dean and Moo hear that a huge revelation in the controversy has been made, as Martha enters inside an empty room. As the scene fades to dark, we find John Mitchell standing in the corridor, staring at her. So, the upcoming episode will continue forward from this moment.

No spoilers…but @GaslitSTARZ shines in Episode 6 with a fine balance of acting all throughout. Lighting, once again, is masterful. And take note of the food, more on display than booze. Can't believe this series is nearly over.
