*Spoilers Ahead*
In Gentleman Jack Season 2 Episode 6, the viewers of the series can look forward to seeing that despite their attempts to shrug it off as a hoax, Anne Lister and Ann Walker are nonetheless disturbed by the bogus marriage announcement that was published in the press. The incident has had an especially negative impact on Ann, who feels embarrassed and insulted by the Halifax locals. Ann then receives an anonymous letter warning her about Anne Lister, stating Anne is seeking to swindle her of her good name and riches. Anne claims that she was not to blame and that she tried to help Eliza.

Meanwhile, Ann is still trying to divide the Walker estate between herself and her sister Elizabeth, when she stumbles across some troubling material in the family records. Moreover, Ann realizes that, contrary to their late father’s wishes, Elizabeth has given all of her belongings to her husband Captain Sutherland. She also discovers that her cousin William Priestley illegally grabbed a portion of the estate’s assets.
Anne Lister is irritated by this because she believes Ann is just waiting for the ideal man to come along and wants her to be sure she wants to be with her. The construction of Anne’s new property, which includes a hotel and casino, is progressing. Anne’s ideas become more complicated once she meets with a bold new architect who says that with more money, she could create a whole new area for Halifax, complete with homes and businesses.

She’s torn between trusting her staffer Holt and the sinister tycoon Hinscliffe. But a group of pit brothers offers her hope that a new pit may solve her issues. As the season progresses, fans have a strong suspicion that things will get even crazier by the end of the episode as they believe there will be lots of drama and suspense in this season, but glances from the show imply that the season will come to a satisfying conclusion that the episodes have been building towards for so long.
