Is Georgia’s ex-husband coming in the new season?
Aaron Ashmore has been cast in the role of Gil Timmins. IMDb currently has Ashmore listed as being in all ten episodes of Ginny and Georgia season 2. Additionally, Gil Timmins, Georgia’s ex-husband, will appear for the first time on the show. He is the father of Austin, another man Georgia fled from after their relationship ended. He was still incarcerated for embezzlement in season one.
According to Netflix Life, the only correspondence Austin had with him came from letters he believed his father was sending. He was disappointed to learn that his mother had actually sent them. When Georgia is reunited with her runaway children in season 2, that will undoubtedly bite her, but now that Gil is probably back in the picture, she also has bigger problems to deal with. In addition to Ginny being aware of her mother’s lethal secret, it appears that Gil’s charges presented more of a challenge.
Is Ginny and Georgia Season 2 about to “get dark”?
During a recent interview with US Weekly, Howey stated, “We’re heading to Ginny and Georgia season 2 super soon. The stakes are really, really high,” she said. “My kids have abandoned me and left. I have to find them. I have to rectify or at least attempt to rectify my relationship with Ginny. I have to mend my relationship with Austin. Georgia has a lot of mending to do – a lot of picking up the pieces.” Further adding, “I think with Paul, where she’s at right now, it’s a lot of power,” Howey said. “She and Paul actually have a lot in common that I think nobody assumed at first, but Paul’s power-hungry too.”
Is Ginny channeling her inner Georgia?
“I want to see Ginny get down and dirty,” she said in a March interview with Elle. “I want to see her turn into Georgia a little bit. I want to see her really dig in and show that mean streak I know she has. That would be really fun to explore.” However, there are other things about Season 2 that are changing as well. Gentry also discussed how Ginny’s clothing has undergone a significant change that reflects the character’s growth. “Think total 180 – I’ll just leave it at that,” she said. Gentry also told Seventeen, “For season 2, the stakes are much higher now – obviously – than we left off with season 1. So, I think fans will be in for a lot of wonderful tension, a lot of building up to climax, and a couple of interesting characters will be revealed.”
Will Porter’s duality be revealed in the upcoming season?
“As far as Mayor Paul goes, I have had questions since day one about where he came from because of the things that he says in the show,” Porter told HollywoodLife. “He went to Brown. He has an Ivy League education, and then he abandoned all of it to travel overseas, backpack, teach English, and get a sense of the world that is much different than a lot of people who try and fast track their way into politics. But then, upon his return to the States, he magically did that. What drives a person like that? He’s multifaceted, yet very direct and focused. So what made him that way? I’m really excited to discover more about his family and where he came from.”
