Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Episodes 16: When will the new episodes premiere?

The upcoming episodes are simply titled, “Gunpowder and Lead,” which will air on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the same time slot of 9/8c on ABC and later on Hulu. The episode is directed by Morenike Joela Evans and written by Michelle Lirtzman. The official synopsis of the episode states, “Amelia takes her personal problems out on her work colleagues; the threats against Bailey come to a terrifying head; Lucas and Jules make a risky decision on a patient; Mika struggles with burnout.”

In addition to this, the 17th episode, “Come Fly With Me,” will premiere next month on May 4, 2023, and the episode is reported to be written by Kingsley Ume. The official synopsis of the episode states, “Teddy calls an emergency meeting to discuss the intern program; Link wrestles with his own self-doubt as he preps for a massive surgery; Nick shares some much-needed guidance with a struggling Lucas.”

All previous seasons of Grey’s Anatomy are currently available on FuboTV and Netflix. The episodes are also available to watch on-demand and on Hulu the day after they air. Grey’s Anatomy: What has happened so far in Season 19?

The show was officially renewed for a nineteenth season on January 10, 2022, for the 2022-23 broadcast season, and follows, “The medical drama follows the personal and professional lives of the doctors at Seattle’s Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.” Take a look at the summarised season’s guide below, for which Krista Vernoff returned for the season as executive producer and showrunner alongside her production company, Trip the Light Productions. The season begins with Meredith still serving as the interim chief and seeing Nick again, while Bailey is not ready to return to work and Levi is struggling to break the bad news to Jo. The doctors work together to solve a medical mystery, and Meredith and Maggie discover new information about Zola. The season continues with Bailey and Addison taking a road trip to help out at a family planning center. While a thunderstorm hits Grey Sloan and the doctors save an injured reporter and a beloved author. 

Meanwhile, Teddy makes a challenging decision, and Simone is faced with a life-changing choice. Jo and Link also tend to a pregnant woman, while the interns compete to scrub in on a groundbreaking procedure. The season later features a party full of surprises hosted by Lucas and Mika. Catherine returns to Grey Sloan for a surgical case that makes Lucas and Blue uneasy. Amelia treats a possible cancer patient with a supportive family. While Owen surprises Teddy by taking his medical future into his own hands. 

Maggie’s lung transplant is derailed, and Nick bonds with Lucas before a shocking turn of events. The hospital goes on lockdown after a tragedy at the clinic, and the doctors split up to save lives while dealing with their own biases. Simone faces challenges finding a maid of honor, and Mika takes drastic measures to pay her student debt. Finally, Maggie has her last day, Amelia’s relationship with Kai is tested, and Maggie and Winston make a decision about their future.
