What to expect in Halo Season 1 Episode 9?
The official synopsis of the episode states, “Admiral Margaret Parangosky (Shabana Azmi) suspects that they have lost the old king as he does not stop Makee for information. Captain Keyes (Danny Sapani) says the Master Master is a soldier, and he insists that all of this is part of his job.”
Some of the crucial questions that need to be answered are what exactly happens next in the plot as the viewers have seen that Will Makee alerts the Covenant of her whereabouts in case of an approaching attack. This is actually crucial to explore in the next episode as the show requires an action-packed finale which should keep the viewers engaged with the series.
Moreover, only through saving Master Chief does Makee return to his human side. Viewers have speculated that the episode might conclude with Makee dying at the hands of this Spartan. This will be bittersweet to look forward to if the plot is in fact going in this direction.
From the looks of the promo, it seems like John, Kai, Dr. Halsey, Miranda, and, Cortana, will survive the fall of the UNSC. When Halsey sees Makee is unwilling to help her on her own, she uses the Zed Protocol, which creates a communications channel with the Spartans while cutting off all other communications.
As, Halsey instructs Kai, Vannak, and Riz to locate Master Chief, Makee, and the item and deliver it to Halsey. When Halsey tells Cortana that she’ll eventually be able to fully handle Master Chief, Cortana pauses, arguing that she’s not sentimental.
On the other hand, Makee is put to the test by Master Chief. Miranda deduces that Makee’s voice is on the Covenant tape, hinting that she is a forger. Riz and Vannak have set Master Chief and Makee up in a trap. Master Chief is advised not to fall into the trap set for him by Cortana, who betrays Halsey. Cortana then disconnects Halsey from the UNSC and disappears to aid Master Chief. Master Chief urges Makee to get a Marine and hurry to Parangosky while he deals with Riz and Vannak.

Halo Season 1 Episode 8: A Quick Recap
The episode, Allegiance, was released on May 12, 2022. The episode is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and written by Justine Juel Gillmer and Steven Kane. The episode picks up as the continuation of episode seven which indicates that despite the UNSC’s ongoing worries that she is a Covenant mole, John continues to mingle with Makee and sees her as a potential ally as a result of their shared visions of the Halo.
Because of their promise of a “Great Journey,” the Covenant is pursuing the Halo rings, and John learns from her. Following a Covenant invasion on another planet, John persuades the UNSC to let Makee examine the artifact under Miranda’s supervision. Makee, who views John with a degree of kinship and trust, and John, who is without his emotional suppressor, have sex; observing John’s generosity and likeness to her, she begins to doubt her loyalty.
Meanwhile, Halsey uses Cortana to learn about John’s relationship and uses Miranda’s retina scan to get remote access to the UNSC network. Halsey then sets remote procedures that halt all communications within the UNSC base, placing Spartans Riz and Vannak under her direct command, instructing them to seize John, Makee, and the artifact; Cortana chooses to warn John at the last moment.
Miranda exposes transmissions of Makee commanding the attack on the UNSC vessel, while Riz and Vannak detain Kai and attempt to combat John. Despite the fact that Makee was trying to help John, she pledges her commitment to the Covenant, frees herself, and touches the artifact, causing shockwaves across the UNSC base, before saying her farewell to John via another shared vision.
