His Dark Materials Season 3 Plot
The third series will follow the events of The Amber Spyglass. It is the concluding book in the His Dark Materials trilogy. It follows on from The Subtle Knife and Northern Lights (also known as The Golden Compass) and takes place in many more universes. The book deals with love between the protagonists, Lyra Silvertongue and Will Parry, as well as some hard decisions they have to make.
One major new universe added to the book is one with strange creatures called Mulefa and Doctor Mary Malone’s development in her beliefs towards what Dust is and how the world works. The series is also expected to pick up with the final episode of the second season, Æsahættr, in which the viewers got to see that, as Lyra and Will continue their journey, Serafina sends two witches ahead as scouts. Ruta Skadi overhears the cliff-ghasts discussing a forthcoming war that Asriel cannot win without Sahaettr.
Later in the episode, Mrs. Coulter captures and then tortures the witch Lena Feldt with a specter in Cittàgazze in order to reveal Lyra’s location and the prophecy that Lyra will be the second Eve, bringing about the second fall of man. Angelica and Paola depart after discovering the adults’ campsite, leaving Mary to continue her search. Lee advises Parry to flee while he fights off Magisterium soldiers. Lee is mortally wounded and summons Serafina with a cloud pine branch before dying. Through a vision, Parry summons his son, Will. Before they can return home, Parry urges Will to fulfill his destiny as the knife-bearer.
Before dying, Parry tells Will that the angels will guide him to Asriel. In a desolate world, the angels pledge their allegiance to Lord Asriel in the upcoming war against the Authority. Will returns to find Lyra missing, having been kidnapped by Mrs. Coulter. Coulter vows to protect Lyra, who appears to be drugged and confined inside the trunk of a ship. Roger and Lyra call each other in an unknown location in a post-credits scene.
