Invincible Season 2: Everything we know about the series so far

Invincible Season 2 will not be coming to Prime Video in April 2022

In March of last year, the global lockdown was still in effect. Many people tuned in to catch up on new series and movies to pass the time and possibly cross off the series that has been on their watch list for a while. 

Invincible is an American adult animated superhero television series based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley that premiered on Amazon Prime Video. 

Invincible was one such show that gained a massive viewership within a few episodes. It is unique and offers a story with unforgettable characters that progress with each action-packed episode. 

The favor that season one has gained has fans eager to know what’s in store for Mark Grayson / Invincible and Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man. The father-duo relationship was tested entirely in the climax of the series. The relationship may have been tainted, and viewers were shocked about the whole ordeal.

According to Wikipedia, “Mark Grayson is an average teenager, except that his father, Nolan, is the most powerful superhero. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop his powers and learns how to wield them with help from his father.”

Invincible Season 2 Release Date

We know that Invincible Season 2 is happening. But the exact date is not confirmed yet as the studio has not revealed anything about the series. Moreover, Amazon’s 2022 series lineup list did not include the show. 

It is better to assume that Invincible Season 2 might not be aired anytime this year. 

The predictions are that it may be scheduled to release in 2023.

Hopefully, it will premiere in early 2023 rather than late 2023, as the process of creating animated series is quite different from live-action. But the good news is that the cast has confirmed multiple times that they will return, and the animated series is renewed for a third season. 

Invincible Season 2 Plot

J.K Simmons recently, in an interview with Discussing Films, said he doesn’t want to spoil the fun of the series by revealing something in advance about the plot, but he assured fans that they would work shortly, but it may take some months. He quoted- 

“Always wary of spoilers, but I think I’m allowed to say that we’re going back to work very soon in the recording booth. Now, the lag between us doing our first recordings and the animation being completed is obviously many months and probably more than a year, I would guess. But, yes, Invincible is getting to work in earnest and season two is imminent, I will say. There’s a nice vague term.”

How many episodes will be there in Invincible Season 2?

The number of episodes has not been confirmed yet. The plot of the series is also not revealed, but the viewers can expect it to have at least 8 episodes like the previous season.
