IVE drops teaser photos for 4th EP ‘IVE SECRET’

IVE released the teaser photos of their 4th mini album titled IVE SECRET on August 15. It shows all the members sitting together, wearing matching red and blue outfits paired up with sneakers.

The album is scheduled to be released on August 25.

A little earlier, the K-pop group also shared concept photos for the same album, where they were seen wearing stylish black-themed outfits and posing together. Now that we are just days away from the release of the album, netizens have begun sharing their opinions on social media regarding the teasers of IVE SECRET.

However, after having a look at the latest social media reactions, one thing is clear: not everyone is happy with the latest concept photos and teaser images of IVE’s upcoming album. Most people have expressed their disappointment over the styling of the IVE members and the background aesthetics of the album. In fact, a few of them also criticized the girls’ hair styling and makeup choices.

For instance, one user wrote, “Looks so tacky.” Meanwhile, another one wrote, “Ahn Yu Jin’s makeup is disappointing. She already looks stunning bare-faced, so why do this kind of makeup?” Backing the same, one more person commented, “Lee Seo’s facial features overpower the makeup.”

Earlier, Starship Entertainment, the agency associated with IVE, had unveiled the concept photos for IVE SECRET. Speaking about the album, the agency stated, “Each member has reinterpreted the image of ‘Evil Cupid’ in their own way. Fans can look forward to seeing a new side of IVE, where all six members are visual centers.”

Earlier stints of IVE

This year proved to be a good one for the IVE members as they started it off with the release of their third EP, IVE EMPATHY. It was released on February 3, 2025, and had two main singles that went viral within a short period. The first was the pre-release track Rebel Heart which was released on January 13, and the second was Attitude, released along with the entire EP.

Rebel Heart ranked at no. 1 among the top 10 tracks of the Circle Digital Chart and became the group’s fifth single to have achieved such a milestone. Now, it’s yet to be seen which new track from IVE HEART manages to break more K-pop chart records in the coming weeks.
