Yoon Ji-yoon has officially parted ways with IZNA, as confirmed by WakeOne on Tuesday. This has led to the reorganization of the group as a six-member act, which was earlier formed via I-LAND 2: N/a by Mnet. The meaning behind the group’s name is ‘Anytime, anywhere, anything is me.’
If reports are to be believed, the IZNA’s agency WakeOne took a mutual decision with Ji-yoon regarding her exit after a series of extended discussions.
In a statement published on Tuesday, WakeOne said, “After long and careful consideration due to health reasons, Yoon Ji-yoon has decided to terminate her activities with Izna. We sincerely apologize for delivering such sudden news and ask for fans’ understanding, as this decision was made with the artist’s health as the top priority. We ask for your warm support and love as Izna continues to move forward.”
My sweet YOON JIYOON, i remember watching I-LAND2 and being rooting for you to make it into the debut lineup. You’ve done well & I hope you comeback stronger in the future. Thank you for making IZNA complete. Naya’s will miss you always 💔#JUSTICE4JIYOON#JIYOON_WE_LOVE_YOU pic.twitter.com/4fQiX3tvuF

Earlier in February 2025, just three months after IZNA’s official debut, Yoon Ji-yoon went on a hiatus citing health issues. At that time, her agency issued another statement that read, “She will be taking a break due to ongoing health concerns and to focus on full recovery.”
However, as confirmed by the latest reports, Ji-yoon won’t be returning to the group anymore. For the unversed, she was the lead vocalist of IZNA. As of now, the current members of the group are Bang Jee-min, Mai, Ryu Sa-Rang, Koko, Choi Jung-eun, and Jeonng Sae-bi.
With Ji-yoon gone, it is yet to be seen who will replace her as the lead vocalist of the group.
As for IZNA, the group debuted in November 2024 and has given several hit singles since then. Their first EP was titled N/a. Meanwhile, the group remains active internationally despite the latest change in its lineup.
Earlier, the K-pop girl group also performed at the Summer Sonic 2025 music festival in Tokyo and Osaka on August 16 and 17, 2025. They also performed at the KCON LA 2025 in Los Angeles this month.
On March 31, 2025, IZNA also released their first digital single, Sign. However, Yoon Ji-yoon was not involved in its official release due to her hiatus. The group also won their first music broadcast trophy in April 2025 on The Show with Sign since their debut. They further announced their single Beep on June 9, once again, without Ji-yoon.
Now that she has completely departed from the group, it is yet to be seen whether she joins a new agency in the future or ventures into another field.
