So buckle up as we embark on an unforgettable adventure, and let’s begin by clearing up any more raging rumors. We at Web News Observer have put together a quick rundown of everything you need to know about the current release status of the much-awaited fourth season of Prime Video’s Jack Ryan.
Jack Ryan Season 4 Release Date
If you recall, ahead of the third season, Amazon renewed the series for a fourth season. In May 2022, before the release of the third season, it was confirmed the series would end after four seasons.
Yes, the journey of Jack Ryan is coming to an end with a final season, which is possibly aiming for a 2023 date on Prime Video. In addition to this, a spin-off starring Michael Peña as Ding Chavez is also in development, which will be exciting for the expansion of this political action thriller television series.
We’ll just have to wait some time for the network to officially confirm these details.
In an interview with The Wrap, John Krasinski confirmed that Seasons 3 and 4 were shot back-to-back, so the wait for Season 4 should be a lot less than the three and a half years it took for Season 3 to reach our screens. “We already finished [Season 4], we actually shot three and four back to back,” Krasinski said. “So that was the whole idea, knowing that the fans would go so long in between two and three, we decided to do three and four back to back so that they wouldn’t have to wait that long again.”
That’s not all! Right now it seems like the wait for the release date won’t be for long, as a few hours ago the official Twitter handle of the show shared a cryptic clip, stating, “Incoming message…,” with John Krasinski featuring in it, which kind of indicates that the more official announcement relating to Jack Ryan Season 4 updates won’t be too long!
Take a look at the official post below and let us know in the comment if you think that the release date will be announced tomorrow or not:

Jack Ryan Season 4 Filming Locations
The production for season four of Jack Ryan officially began in February 2022, with locations including Dubrovnik, Croatia. The filming of the series also took place on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria. According to Canarian Weekly, Krasinski also mentioned filming in New York, Los Angeles, Budapest, Slovakia, and Prague but didn’t specify whether those were locations for Season 3 or Season 4.
He stated: “What an incredible challenge that was for all of us to be [filming for] what was over a year and a half,” Krasinski told The Wrap. “We had a small break in the middle. But we were essentially away from our families for over a year and a half. And not just New York to L.A., we’re in Budapest and Slovakia, and Prague and wherever else. Canary Islands. It’s a blessing to do it, but it’s tough nonetheless.”
Jack Ryan Season 4 Plot
Not much has been revealed about the new season but the third season and Tom Clancy’s book The Hunt for Red October had some parallels, and it’s possible that season four will be based on one of Clancy’s other books. The series is expected to pick up from the third season’s finale, “Star on the Wall,” which included the following ending:
Together, Jack, Greer, Wright, Alena, and Luka try to stop the outbreak of a third world war. The Russian President orders Petrov executed, and his accomplices are apprehended after the coup is revealed. The Roosevelt and the Fearless come dangerously close to engaging in a gun conflict, but Jack manages to stop things on the American side from getting out of hand while Luka persuades Antonov’s XO to remove him from command, narrowly preventing war. Wright is then given the position of CIA Director while Luka is taken away, probably to be killed, as he had repeatedly hinted would happen.
On the other hand, showrunner Vaun Wilmott spoke to CBR about Season 3 and teased a little about Season 4, saying: “The end of Season 3 is a launch into Season 4, insomuch as Jack is in a good place with the CIA. Without giving you any spoilers, he takes a different role in Season 4 that we haven’t seen before, [one] that allows us to explore another aspect of Jack Ryan. Season 4 is another exciting ride — very international, different characters, new villains, and it allows us to play with Jack, Greer, Mike, and everybody in it, in new exciting ways.”
Jack Ryan Season 4 Cast and Crew
The main cast members who will reprise their roles in the new season are as follows John Krasinski as Jack Ryan, Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November, Mena Massoud as Tarek Kasser, Al Sapienza as Lt. Gen. Marcus Trent, Noomi Rapace as Harriet “Harry” Baumann, Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright, and Abbie Cornish who plays Jack’s romantic interest Cathy Mueller will be back. On the other hand, Michael Peña as Domingo “Ding” Chavez will be joining the cast full-time in Season 4.
Amazon announced Peña’s addition to the cast in the Season 4 pickup announcement in October without revealing his character. The reported supporting cast members are Jovan Adepo as Marcus Bishop, Cristina Umaña as Gloria Bonalde, Arnold Vosloo as Jost Van Der Byl, Victor Rasuk as Disco, Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright, Okieriete Onaodowan as Adebayo “Ade” Osoji, and James Cosmo as Luca.
In addition to this, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a co-production of Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios, and Skydance Television. Additionally, Tom Clancy and Skydance Television’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost executive produce the third season along with Mace Neufeld and Carlton Cuse.
