Lee Min of the vocal duo, As One, has passed away, as confirmed by a representative from BRANDNEW MUSIC on August 6, 2025. The cause of her death is still unknown.
The official statement reads, “Last night, Lee Min’s husband discovered her when he returned home.” The agency further added, “The police are conducting an investigation. We ask that people refrain from excessive speculation until the results are released.”
Lee Min was born in 1978 and debuted as a part of As One in 1999. The duo released several hit songs, such as Desire And Hope and Day By Day.

In June 2025, As One released a new single titled Happy Birthday To You and appeared later on The Seasons: Cantabile of Park Bo Gum. This happens to be the last performance of Lee ahead of her death.
The singer’s fellow member, Crystal, who currently lives in the United States, is on her way to South Korea after hearing the sad news.
In one of her old Instagram posts, Crystal called Lee her “other half.” Another longtime friend of the late K-pop artist described her as a “positive person.”
In another statement shared with Maeil Business Newspaper’s Star Today, As One’s agency official stated that Lee Min’s funeral was yet to be finalized amid the ongoing investigation. However, they are expected to start the preparations soon.
Industry and fans mourn Lee’s tragic demise
Lee Min did not have any active social media accounts of her own. Hence, her fans have taken to online community platforms to mourn the loss of the legendary singer.

As published in Koreaboo, a longtime acquaintance of the late singer revealed, “She was such a positive friend. It’s hard to believe this has happened as she was having so much fun promoting after such a long time.” Another acquaintance of Lee added, “I met her last week. She was truly a dedicated friend.”
In addition to her music career, Lee reportedly also worked as a music teacher. Later, she married a former office worker in Hawaii in 2013.
