Will the Marc Spector return as Moon Knight for another season? Read on to find out if Moon Knight Season 2 is in the works.
Moon Knight is an American television miniseries created by Jeremy Slater for Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe produced by Marvel Studios, and it shares continuity with the franchise’s films. Slater is the show’s main writer, and Mohamed Diab is the show’s director.

Moon Knight premiered its finale episode on May 4, 2022. The episode is titled Gods and Monsters which was directed by Mohamed Diab. The screenplay of the episode is written by Jeremy Slater and Peter Cameron & Sabir Pirzada. The story of the episode is written by Danielle Iman & Jeremy Slater.
Since the last episode aired, fans have speculated whether they will get Moon Knight Season 2. The end credit scene has also raised a slew of questions, many of which are hotly argued throughout the program.

As a result, if you are one of those who can’t wait to obtain the updates, we have compiled a list of all the most recent updates indicating the current condition of Moon Knight Season 2.
Is Moon Knight renewed for Season 2?
As of now, there is no official confirmation about the potential renewal of Moon Knight for Season 2 . Many have just speculated that the series should be renewed for another future installment because the show’s reception has been great overall.

Moreover, Moon Knight was initially promoted as a single-time series that might not be included in the MCU phase that develops and is integrated into the established cinematic universe in which these comic characters are reprised and make cameos in the future installment.
On the other hand, the critics have also given favorable reviews for the series, which speaks for itself, and it did leave a good impact on regular TV series viewers worldwide who tuned in every Wednesday to watch the next episode of the 6 episode mini-series.
Hence, as of now, the series is still in a stage where the decision of the showrunner and the Marvel studios decides the future of this character.

Oscar Isaac addressed the chances of Moon Knight Season 2 in an interview with Radio Times, stating that:
“I think we approached it as ‘this is the story’, and let’s just put everything out on the table on this story. There’s definitely no official plans to continue it. I think it would depend on what the story is.”
He also stated, “That being said, I love being Steven. I just love it. It’s just like, physically, it’s so much fun to be him. So, you know, if there was a story that really made sense, I’d be happy to be part of it.”

Moon Knight Season 2 Potential Release Date
No official release dates have been announced by Marvel Studios yet. As the series has just completed its first season’s final episode on May 4, 2022. So, Moon Knight Season 2 will take some time to arrive on streaming services if the series receives renewal updates ahead of time. The character was introduced recently in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hence, we will not predict any release dates as the production stage also takes up a lot of time for the series to be completed if, in fact, it is greenlit for another season.
Moreover, any TV series usually tends to take a year between seasons to be renewed, which means the earliest we can expect Moon Knight Season 2 to debut depends on the dates revealed by the network which the fans have to wait for some time.

However, after an official tweet promoting the teaser for Moon Knight Season one’s finale episode used the phrase “series finale” before changing it to “season finale,” rumors of a second season spread like wildfire on social networks.
oh my @MarvelStudios, deleted the tweet that said "SERIES FINALE" are changed it to "SEASON FINALE". Please tell me we getting a season 2!!!!! I need more Oscar Isaac, more more more!! #moonknight pic.twitter.com/GHcKHRU7qy

Moon Knight Season 2 Epiosdes
If the series is renewed, we can expect Moon Knight Season 2 to have the same amount of episodes as the first season, namely 6, which is likely because many television shows follow a similar pattern to transmit the plot and the stories of their characters.

Furthermore, we’d like to point out that the number of episodes may change from time to time if the show’s makers wish to provide a broader plotline to the viewers. As a result, predicting the number of episodes is of no use until an official announcement is made.

But, for the sake of the fans, we should expect the forthcoming season if renewed will feature at least 6 episodes, having a runtime of 42 and 45 minutes similar to Season 1, which was titled and released on the following dates:
- S1E1: “The Goldfish Problem” – March 30, 2022
- S1E2: “Summon the Suit” – April 6, 2022
- S1E3: “The Friendly Type” – April 13, 2022
- S1E4: “The Tomb” – April 20, 2022
- S1E5: “Asylum” – April 27, 2022
- S1E6: “Gods and Monsters” – May 4, 2022
What to expect in Moon Knight Season 2?
*Spoilers Ahead*

Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab discussed interactions between the series’ protagonist hero and other MCU characters in an interview with IndieWire in March 2022.
“I could see Marc and Steven driving the characters of the MCU crazy,” Diab said. “Marc’s speaking to someone with complete seriousness, and suddenly he turns into Steven, or Moon Knight turns into Mr. Knight. I think it would be amazing.” This interaction can be explored further in the next season which will be very interesting to know about.

Given that Jake Lockley the third main Moon Knight personality has finally made his appearance in the post-credits sequence, we expect him to continue to play an important part in the future is a question that can be addressed in the second season if renewed.
Moreover, brief hints at iconic comic book villains like Bushman may also pay off in the future, provided Moon Knight might reappear for a second season.
Moon Knight Cast
Before making his Marvel debut as Moon Knight, Oscar Isaac told Variety, “I had heard of the golden handcuffs,” he joked. “Luckily, we all agreed that this [show] is what we’re going to focus on. This is the story. And if there’s any kind of future, I think it just depends on if people like it, if people want to see more, and if we find a story that’s worth telling.”

Which cast might be retuning for Moon Knight Season 2?
If the series is continued for another season, all of the original cast members, are likely to reprise their roles in the future season. Furthermore, if the program is approved for a second season, the writers and producers of Moon Knight may integrate a few new characters to broaden the plot and keep it fascinating after the premiere of the finale episode of Moon Knight, it is clear that the chances are that the story can be explored further.

Is there any trailer for Moon Knight Season 2?
No, because the series is not in production and has not yet been renewed, so there is no trailer for Moon Knight Season 2.

Moon Knight Official Synopsis
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee who suffers from blackouts and flashbacks to another existence. Moon Knight Overall Reception
The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an 87% approval rating with an average rating of 7.5/10, based on 188 reviews. The website’s critics’ consensus reads, “Its entertainment value may wax and wane a bit, but Moon Knight ultimately settles into a mostly enjoyable—and refreshingly weird—spot in the MCU firmament.”
According to IMDb, Moon Knight has an overall score of 7.6 out of 10 with 86K votes.

Rolling Stone‘s Alan Sepinwall gave the series 3 out of 5 stars, enjoying Isaac’s performance as both Grant and Spector, but feeling there was “precious little to feel excited about” in the series beyond that. Though Sepinwall became more engaged by the conclusion of the fourth episode since the story pivots “more into the darkness inherent in the character”, he did not have high hopes for the series conclusion given past MCU Disney+ series faltered in their finales and the character’s history of “being more exciting in theory than reality”.
Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned a score of 69 out of 100 based on 27 critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews”.
