Is Ms. Marvel renewed for Season 2?

As of July 12, 2022, Ms. Marvel Season 2 has yet to be officially confirmed by Marvel Studios. The first season of the series still has one episode left to air, which will bring this mini-series to an end on July 13, 2022. Considering that the series will end tomorrow, any news or updates about a possible season renewal appear way too soon for any major network to make such significant remarks in such a short period of time. Fans should hold off until the network confirms and acknowledges this information. The network may evaluate the series’ performance and reception before renewing it for future seasons.

In a recent interview with Screenrant in June 2022, Ms. Marvel producer, Sana Amanat, expressed her thoughts on the future of the series, quoting, “It is laid out as a limited series for her to go off and do other things. Like, it certainly establishes [her as a hero], she will be going into The Marvels next, so that’s kind of there,” she said. “But I will say I really hope that she is a part … you know, I hope we get a Season 2 is all I’m gonna say. I hope we’re a part of that.”

On the other hand, Ms. Marvel was always introduced into the MCU as a standalone mini-series as a part of the MCU’s fourth phase. Many reports have stated that the show will function as a prequel to the upcoming movie, The Marvels, which will be released next year. So, if the show is not renewed for any more seasons, at least the fans will be able to see the character once again, this time on a big screen, sharing screen time with her idol, Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
