The story of My Daughter is a Zombie revolves around a father-daughter duo. Lee Jeong-Hwan plays the father who happens to be a tiger trainer. On the other hand, Lee Soo-A plays his daughter, who is a passionate dancer, too. Everything goes well until a zombie outbreak happens, and their worlds turn upside down. In fact, Jeong-Hwan’s daughter is also infected, and the story follows how he uses his tiger training techniques to help her out of the trauma. This unique plot of the horror comedy has garnered a lot of attention from the audience.

The film has been directed by Pil Gam-Sung, and it has now reached the exact milestone as that of the 2023 hit Smugglers, which garnered over 4 million viewers in just 17 days. It has further outpaced the 2024 hit Pilot, which took 22 days to reach the same feat.

Meanwhile, in a video released on the official social media channels of NEW, the cast and crew of the film expressed their gratitude toward the audiences for making the zombie drama a huge success. In fact, Jo and Yoon had also promised to perform the ‘Soda Pop’ dance challenge (from Kpop Demon Hunters) during a live YouTube broadcast on July 15 if their film reached the 3 million mark.

Now that it has already surpassed the numbers, it’s yet to be seen if the actors fulfill their promise or not.
