Continue reading to learn more details about the rumored spoilers about NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14.
NCIS: Los Angeles will return for a new season on CBS on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 10 p.m. EST, and the anticipation for the new episodes has left viewers with high expectations for the drama and excitement, leading to increasing buzz and conjecture around the 14th season. As viewers know, the series follows the exploits of the Los Angeles-based Office of Special Projects (OSP), an elite division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service that specializes in undercover assignments.
NCIS: Los Angeles is the first spin-off of the successful CBS series NCIS and the second series in the franchise. If you want to know about the major spoilers for the next season, then you have reached the right place as we’ve compiled a list of the potential spoilers that are circulating on social media.
What direction is Hetty Lange’s character arc going?
Linda Hunt plays Henrietta “Hetty” Lange in the series as NCIS Supervisory Special Agent and Office of Special Projects Operations Manager. She supervises the OSP team while they are on missions and offers them a wide range of support, including advanced surveillance technology and transportation to other countries. Over the course of many seasons, she has become one of the most beloved characters. So, fans’ doubts about her appearance in the 14 seasons are understandable.
Moreover, in a new interview with TVLine, here is some of what executive producer R. Scott Gemmill had to say on the subject: “The plan is to go and rescue her at some point, find out what she’s gotten herself into. We’re just trying to figure out schedule-wise when we can pull that off … That was the plan last year, too, but it didn’t come to fruition. We had a bit of a [variant] surge, but things seem to be settling down a bit. Hopefully, nothing new comes along and we can make them happen this year.”
In another interview with TV Insider, R. Scott Gemmill teases some of what Hetty is up to, as well as what inspires the team to try to find her, “Essentially two of her people who were in the country were on the right track to expose someone within the Pentagon, in the intelligence community high up, that was a traitor, basically a mole, kind of like the fourth man. But before they can get out with proof of that, they are captured and we don’t know if they’re captured because they know who they are or they’re just as captured as part of some of the problems are going over there … So ultimately she went back to try and resolve that with the Keane character, and then we haven’t heard from her since. So part of next season will be our guys finding out where she is, what happened, and probably having to go in and pull her out of the fire.”
Is Admiral Kilbride leaving the show?
No, Admiral Kilbride is not leaving the show even if Hetty Lange is a part of the 14th season, as Gemmill was adamant in telling Parade.com, “It took me forever to get Gerald on the show. I wanted Gerald for so long. I had him on an episode and kept bugging CBS to let me hire him. Finally, they relented. I am not going to get rid of him.”
What is going on with Kensi and Deeks?
Deeks and Kensi are adjusting to parenting, especially because they have demanding work. However, because they are in the process of adopting Rosa, they must safeguard her from Kessler, who has been a persistent menace to Kensi, and the risk he poses is one of their main concerns about establishing a family.
Gemmill told TV Insider, “That’ll be something else that we will resolve next season. There’s a couple things. I think that’s one of the great things for us is that we can drop in a story and let it sort of settle and fester and bubble away until it rears its ugly head again, whether it’s Katya or Kessler or any of the other myriad of conflicts we had over the years. I think for sure, we’ll put that one to bed because nobody wants to live with that over their shoulders the rest of their lives.”
