As the clip progresses we see Agent Jessica Knight say, “There’s blood here. Looks like somebody tried to clean it.” To which Agent Nicolas Torres replies, “Someone was covering their tracks.” However, it appears that the crew is dealing with far more critical issues right in their midst. When Dr. Jimmy Palmer examines the body, he finds fingerprints that belong to an NCIS agent.

Forensic Scientist Kasie Hines later informs Parker: “There’s a mole in the NCIS.” If you have checked out the fandom’s social media pages, you may have come across theories and new posts by the fans who have certainly spent the majority of next week’s episode attempting to figure out who the mole is and whether or not they’ve met them previously.

If we dug deep into finding out, we know that Agents Torres and Knight, the newest NCIS team’s newest members, might be prime suspects. Furthermore, Parker has just recently joined the squad after the departure of Leroy Jethro Gibbs last season, which may lead him to be a suspect.

Despite his FBI credentials, Parker might be engaging in a long con to undermine the naval investigators from the inside. Furthermore, despite their years of service with the task force, fans should not count out Agent Tim McGee or Director Leon Vance. Rumors are swirling that series regular Rocky will be leaving at some point during the current season.

Exposing him as a mole may be a suitable but tragic way to send him packing. His departure might potentially clear the way for long-time agent McGee to take over as director or for a new cast member to join the show to change things up even more. At one moment in the teaser, it looks like the entire team has hurried to the location of a suspected suspect.

If you have taken notice then this implies that one of NCIS’s key operatives will not be revealed as an enemy spy. Nonetheless, the series has grown notorious for some dramatic turns over the years, so fans shouldn’t be surprised if they see one of their favorite characters in an unexpected new light following next week’s episode.
