The blockbuster series Outer Banks on Netflix is all set to launch the third season of the show which makes perfect sense given how popular the show’s proven to be on the streaming platform. Fans are thrilled about the news and are constantly digging around the internet to find the latest updates on the upcoming season.
But with this excitement comes the speculation of Outer Banks Season 4. Will there be more seasons or is Season 3 going to put a full stop to this series.

Will there be a Season 4 of Outer Banks?
While Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed Outer Banks Season 4 but it seems that more seasons are on their way to grace us with even more interesting plots. Co-creator Jonas Pate, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, hinted that there could be more in store after Outer Banks Season 3.
“Ever since we started, we always viewed it as something that was probably like a four-season, maybe five-season show, but definitely four seasons,” Pate said.
Outer Banks Season 4 Release Date
Since we are yet to hear an official confirmation on Outer Banks Season 4, it’s hard to predict a release date. But since Season 3 is set to release sometime in 2022, we may see Outer Banks Season 4 soon after, or, at least, get more information on it.

There’s no official announcement related to the cast for Season 4 but according to rumors, there won’t be many changes in the original cast. It is a story set in the coastal town in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and is about a family who wants to escape their past. In the first season, John B. (Chase Stokes) is convinced that his father’s disappearance isn’t just an accident and the more he and his friends (called the Pogues) dig deep into the sea to find the root of it all, the more they notice that they aren’t the only ones looking for the truths. Along the way, they discover a legendary treasure that is linked to John B’s father.
In the second season of the show, the treasure hunt continues and we see how the couple, Sarah and John B survive their bumpy journey and finally find the happily ever after but wait, the story is far from over yet. At the end of the second season, we get the most unexpected surprise that John B’s father, who everyone presumed to be dead, is actually alive and hiding out in Barbados – and Carla Limbrey (Elizabeth Mitchell) is currently the only one aware that Big John is alive.
