Why Rabbit Hole Season 2 isn’t renewed yet?
Before we begin digging further to find out our answers, let’s take a moment to appreciate the crew who made this series possible. All thanks to Glenn Ficarra and John Requa for creating this amazing show. Also, thanks to Paramount + for giving this series a chance. We shouldn’t forget to appreciate the talented crew who made their character stand out. Now, getting back to the main issue, i.e., Rabbit Hole Season 2 renewal status.
Let’s start with the history of releases. Rabbit Hole aired its first season’s first episode on March 26, 2023. After successfully running eight episodes, the series aired its finale on May 7, 2023. Now, it’s been months since the finale, and fans are curious why Rabbit Hole Season 2 hasn’t gotten renewed yet. After eight dreadful episodes, Crowley finally got unmasked, and he is the shell of an elderly man hooked up to an oxygen mask. So much for the final entry that he died after a few scenes, but Crowley was getting instructions from someone. As Ben put the earpiece and asked the question, there was a concerning expression, which meant the fight was far away from ending. On a positive note, it meant we have a lot of plot for Rabbit Hole Season 2!
Also, In a new interview, Kiefer Sutherland opened up about wanting to do a second season of the series created by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, “I absolutely adored working on the show, and I love John and Glenn and their process, and I just absolutely love the cast,” he told TV Insider in an interview. “It was an extraordinary group of people, and we had an awful lot of fun working, and yeah, I hope we get to do it again.”
So why Rabbit Hole Season 2 isn’t renewed yet? Well, you have read the high chances of its revival, all you have to know is what’s the reason behind the delay? If you are aware of the current situation in the Hollywood entertainment industry, you won’t be asking that question. The ongoing strikes have taken the industry by storm. WGA strike, which itself began in May 2023, and the SAG-AFTRA strikes, which began in July 2023. Since there are several series that have suffered from undefined delay, we believe Rabbit Hole Season 2 is one of them.
Even if Paramount + renews the second season, then what? The script can’t be created due to the writers’ strike, while actors won’t be able to make an entrance. So, it seems like the production house is taking its time before making any irrational decision. Also, we shouldn’t forget that Rabbit Hole is a non-franchise show without a Taylor Sheridan or a big-name producer attached. With the current uncertainties, all we can do is hope for Rabbit Hole Season 2 renewal. Until the time comes, enjoy the first season trailer and allow us to keep you posted!
