Sonic returns with his pal Tails, bringing many new surprises for the fans.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is set to be released next month. We have played Sonic, one of the best-selling online games, for many years. The character is easily recognizable and loved worldwide. So, when the first look of the character was shared in 2019, the fans were not impressed. To be fair, It didn’t look good because Sonic’s design didn’t feel genuine.
People expected more after seeing Pikachu in the Detective Pikachu movie, and it was hard to believe how the design turned out. Memes and petitions were circulated to get the film’s makers’ attention to improve this beloved character.
In response to fairly universal disapproval of the design, Fowler confirmed that Sonic would be reworked on Twitter on May 2, 2019. As a result, the film’s initial release date of November 8, 2019, has been pushed back to February 14, 2020. Tyson Hesse, a previous Sonic the Hedgehog media artist, was carried on to lead the redesign.

Sonic was remodeled with different colored eyes, new sneakers, white gloves, and a less human-looking body to resemble Sonic’s video game design. Marza Animation Planet redesigned Sonic. The redesign cost an estimated $5 million, took about five months, and was completed without any extra delay.
We guess every story should have a happy ending, right? The audience received the movie well, as this whole situation helped the film’s marketing and collected $319.7 million worldwide. So, naturally, the sequel was greenlit by the production house, and now we have part 2 of this growing franchise.
