Succession Season 4 Release Date and Time Slot

The series has been renewed for a fourth season, airing sometime in the spring of 2023. In June 2021, executive producer Georgia Pritchett commented that the series would not go beyond five seasons and possibly would end after season four. In addition to this, the series was also reported to be filmed in Los Angeles for the new season.

Like the prior season, the new episodes premiere on HBO and HBO Max at the same time. If you live in those time zones, you can watch the series live on HBO at 9 p.m. Eastern time (8 p.m. Central time). Regardless of where you live, you can also watch the episode on HBO Max beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern time slot.

The official Twitter handle of the show also confirmed the news by sharing the official release date with a new clip from the teaser, quoting, “The rebel alliance. New season. Spring 2023.” Take a look at the official post below:

Succession Season 4 Plot

In Season 4, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.

The big question is whether Season 4 will be its last. Writer Georgia Pritchett told The Sunday Times that the writers are already plotting the next season. “I think the maximum would be five seasons but possibly more like four,” she told the newspaper. “At this point [Armstrong] is saying only one more [season]. But that happens every time. We’ve got a good end in sight.”

Said Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming: “With each season of Succession, Jesse Armstrong has continued to surpass our wildest expectations, pulling us deeper into the Roy family’s inner sanctum with indelible wit, humanity and precision. This season is undoubtedly no exception, and we couldn’t be more excited for all that’s in store in this next season ahead.”
