The Walking Dead fandom has received a slew of exciting news this week. As the series mid-season finale episode aired this week, the viewers were treated to a teaser trailer for the Tales of the Walking Dead spinoff series, which will air this summer.
Last year, it was officially announced on various social media handles that the series would be released in 2022.

And now, after waiting for months, we have finally got the first teaser trailer, and fans couldn’t be more grateful.
According to the teaser, the episodic anthology spinoff series will focus on telling the tale of original standalone stories about new and established characters in the walker apocalypse. The teaser trailer promises “six different stories” set in “one dead world,” which will be exciting in the coming months.
Some of the cast members of the series include actors with familiar faces from a variety of series, including
- Lauren Glazier from Mindhunter
- Jessie T Usher from The Boys
- Danny Ramirez from The Falcon & The Winter Soldier
- Daniella Pineda from Jurassic World Dominion
- Parker Posey from Lost in Space
- Olivia Munn from X-Men: Apocalypse
- Jillian Bell from Workaholics
But the one character introduction in the teaser has had the whole fandom excited and in talks as the teaser provides a glimpse at the return of Alpha, portrayed by Samantha Morton.
In Season 9 of The Walking Dead, she is the leader of the flesh-wearing Whisperers. She will return to the TWD Universe for the first time since the Season 10 episode “Walk With Me” in a single Tales episode.
