Taylor Swift didn’t throw her big, highly anticipated Fourth of July party this year. And for all the right reasons. Swift and her love interest, Travis Kelce, are busy stealing quiet romantic moments amid all the limelight and chaos that follow their relationship.
While it is being said that Swift is enjoying her much-needed downtime, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is focused on keeping his relationship away from the public eye for some time. Hence, all the quiet getaways and even quieter celebrations.
An insider told Daily Mail that the Love Story singer had decided to go low-key for the July 4 party.
“She is eager to celebrate and unwind, and she is going to have something go down party-wise with Travis, family and some good friends,” the insider said. “But she isn’t looking to broadcast that she is having a big get-together or party. And there is good reason for her not to.”
And, while rumors were strong that something big was coming on July 4, the insider said Taylor dropping new music was very unlikely.
“If she is about to drop any new music, she hasn’t told anyone, even people who are very close to her haven’t been made aware of anything new coming out,” the insider said.
“She has been very tight lipped. Many close to her would be very surprised if this weekend had any announcements about new music.”

The other big announcement that people awaited would be Kelce popping the question, but that was another mere rumor.
“Travis isn’t going to ask for her hand in marriage this weekend,” the insider confirmed.
“He is likely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn’t playing anymore and not getting ready for a big NFL season.”
Keeping things private has worked in the couple’s favor as their bond is stronger than ever.
“There’s a calmness and ease to their relationship right now that’s been really grounding for Taylor and Travis,” a source close to People revealed.
The couple has also found another love nest as they are staying away from Kansas City and spending time in other places. “They’ve been splitting their time between New York, Nashville, and a few quiet getaways, just enjoying each other’s company without all the usual chaos. This kind of downtime is rare for both of them, and it’s really allowed their bond to deepen,” the source further said.
This slow-paced and, as Taylor anticipated, gentle year has allowed the couple to work on their relationship ‘one day at a time’.

An insider told US Weekly that keeping things private is part of the plan for the couple.
“They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention,” reassuring, “There isn’t trouble in paradise.”
This doesn’t mean that the couple has completely shut down their public getaways. They are still there, just a little on the quiet side. They made an appearance in Nashville on June 23, followed by a date in New York City on June 28.
On July 1, the couple was seen having lunch at JoJo’s Bar in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Swift and Kelce have also been receiving some backlash online, with haters accusing them of seeking attention. In a recent episode of “Bussin’ With The Boys”, Kelce addressed the allegations and cleared the air with the podcast hosts.
“Having fun with it man, being a couple,” Kelce said, while adding, “It gets thrown out there, like we’re trying to seek attention every now and then, but it’s like we’re just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games, kinda introducing her to some more of the sports world.”
On the professional front, the Red singer reclaimed the masters to her first six albums. “She’s proud, relieved, and finally feels like a chapter has closed in the best possible way,” an insider told People.
The achievement comes after Swift’s years-long battle over ownership and ‘having Travis by her side for that milestone made it even more special’.
