Will Laszlo Kreizler and Sara Howard solve another horrific case or is this the end of the crime drama series? The Alienist is an American period drama television series based on the 1994 novel of the same name by Caleb Carr and its second season was premiered on July 19, 2020.
Since then, fans have been waiting for The Alienist Season 3 to get to experience the world of crime and thrillers once again along with the protagonist. Well, the wait is finally over as we’ve got some interesting news on The Alienist Season 3.
Here’s everything you need to know about the third season of The Alienist.
Will there be a Season 3 of The Alienist on TNT?
TNT is yet to renew The Alienist Season 3. It’s been quite a while since the release of Season 2, however, there’s still no clarity as to if it will return for a third season. However, the good thing is TNT hasn’t canceled it too yet.
When will The Alienist Season 3 release?
Since there’s no clarity on the renewal of The Alienist Season 3, we can’t expect a release date. But if it’s ever to come, compared with the schedule of season 1 and season 2, we’re hoping that the possible premiere date of The Alienist Season 3 would be somewhere around late 2023, if at all it happens.
What will The Alienist Season 3 be about?
In Season 1, we saw that the series is about solving a murder mystery by a team of Teddy Roosevelt, Dr. Laszlo Kreisler, John Moore, and the brothers Marcus and Lucius. It is based on the investigation cases in New York City by the team. In the second season, we saw Sara Kreisler and John Moore and their private agency and how they investigated a missing orphan kid.
In a probable new season, we could see Jones and his partner-in-justice taking the centre stage in the investigations. We expect to see the homicide secrets be evoked with the security of numerous social issues in New York City and Kreisler and Moore restart the examination of the executioner case who had been killing children in New York City.
Who will be in the cast?
The central characters, Laszlo, Sara, and John were there at the end of the previous season so Daniel Brühl, Dakota Fanning, and Luke Evans could all return in future episodes. Luke Evans told Collider last year that he adores playing John Moore.
“They all can convey a storyline once more, endlessly further – another story, another plot, another curve, another homicide, another evil topic. I love playing John. On the off chance that that occurred, it’d be incredible.” he said. So, there’re chances that the main characters will return in the upcoming season if it happens.
The Alienist Season 3: Is there a trailer? With no announcements at all, unfortunately, there is no official trailer yet. But if the series gets renewed by TNT, we may see a trailer 3 to 4 months prior to the release date. Here’s the trailer for Season 2 if you haven’t watched it yet.
