The Equalizer Season 4 Renewal Status
The show was officially greenlit for a fourth season along with the third season by CBS, which was confirmed back in May 2022, and it is not surprising that the show got approved for more seasons early as the two-season renewal definitely reflects on the strength of The Equalizer’s rating performance over the season, which has been able to average 9.46 million viewers.
“The Equalizer continues to pack a powerful punch on Sunday nights, and we’re thrilled to have it back for two more seasons,” said Thom Sherman, senior executive vice president of programming at CBS Entertainment. “The success of The Equalizer is due to the sum of its parts – an outstanding cast led by the superb Queen Latifah, plus the exceptional creative team that has continued to evolve their storytelling with a compelling mix of everyday justice, family dynamics, and real-world issues that connect and resonate with audiences.”

The Equalizer Season 4 Expected Release Date and Time Slot
The exact premiere date has yet to be acknowledged, as the finale episode, “Eye for an Eye,” of the third season aired a few hours ago, which is way too early for the network to confirm any such major details. On the bright side, the release window of The Equalizer Season 4 is speculated to be set for the 2023–24 broadcast season and premiere sometime in the fall of 2023 on the CBS network.
The ideal release window for the fourth season is in or around October 2023, and it is expected to premiere every Sunday night starting at 8/7c on CBS, just like the other two seasons. We’ll just have to wait and see what schedule the network decides to allot. Until then, you should stream all the prior episodes and also subscribe to the official Twitter handle of The Equalizer to get all new updates firsthand.

The Equalizer Season 4 Plot
The series will definitely continue to follow Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background, who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. McCall comes across to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trusted few, she is “The Equalizer” – an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption.
So, if you have streamed the third season’s finale, then you’ll know that there is no chance that the network will just miss picking up the plot from the major cliffhanger that transpired in the final episode. The viewers got to see that the team is put in harm’s way when McCall’s former CIA colleague is found alive and sets her sights on revenge by attempting to abduct Dante, Harry, and Mel; Aunt Vi and Delilah must act quickly to de-escalate a hostage situation.
