Yes, ABC Network confirmed its renewal on April 19, 2023.
The Good Doctor Season 7: Release Date Update
We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but July is not the month of the return of our favorite series. Neither is August. Nor is September. So the question remains: Is the Good Doctor coming back in 2023?
As of now, that seems like a bleak possibility. This is in retrospect of the undying strike situation, which may carry to August as well as September. Our worries are confirmed by the fall lineup released by ABC Network, where The Good Doctor is nowhere in sight.
This only means one thing. The Good Doctor Season 7 will not reach us in 2023. We can predict its arrival by mid-2024 if the strike situation dissipates by the end of 2023.
Now that we got the grim news out of the way let’s focus on the positives.
The Good Doctor Season 7: Expected Plot

Based on an earlier K-drama, ‘Good Doctor,’ The Good Doctor is different in its approach to its precursor, where the storyline deflects from stories within the four walls of a hospital into the lives of the characters outside their workplace. It is about an autistic doctor who is diagnosed with Savant syndrome, but that does not stop him from creating marvels in the medical field with his patients and finding true love. This ambit has got the viewers hooked on The Good Doctor, and they are looming around to find out what happens in Season 7.

Shaun and Glassman’s Strained Relationship
We were all reaching for the tissues in disbelief in The Good Doctor Season 6 finale titled “Love’s Labour” when Shaun and Leah’s baby enters the world, and their grandfather Glassman is not present for the family photo.
This follows after Shaun played a role in ending Glassman’s career as a neurosurgeon. Glassman suffered several strokes, ultimately losing his ability to conduct surgery, and Shaun told on him.
We hope to see the revival of their relationship since Glassman’s relationship with Shaun is close and personal. He understands Shaun on a different level that other doctors in the hospital don’t share with him.
Papa Shaun
Yes! Shaun is finally a father. It was a rather emotional journey to watch him fall in love, get married, and now he is finally taking up the responsibility of being a father to little Stevie(named after his deceased brother) and start a family.
It would be great if the show moved away from the regular ambit of showing how he balances work and his personal life as a father to some other context that might move the viewers. After all, we are getting to know a father who has his own set of personal challenges while fitting into society and establishing his identity.
Morgan and Park’s Relationship
Is it true? Do we ship them again?
Looks like it is possible!
Morgan adopted a baby girl, and Park decided to help her raise her.
The show might show us a version of a blended family where Park’s son can be in the picture as well as Park spending time with the baby. All this with a story on how Morgan and Park try to put their relationship on the mend.
Or will they end up falling out further?
Guess we will need to find out!

Unfortunately, the release dates for Season 7 of Good Doctor have not reached us yet. Once there is news on the tentative dates of its arrival, we will be sure to update you here.
In the meantime, you can catch up on The Good Doctor Season 1-6 on Fubo TV and Hulu Plus. It is also available to rent or buy at iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, and Vudu.
Once the new episodes come out, they are set to be broadcasted on the official ABC Network channel, where you can watch them for free. Keeping in sync with its earlier episodes, there may be 20 episodes in total(subject to change), with every episode airing on Mondays at 10 pm.

The Good Doctor Season 7: Cast
To our utter dismay, the official network confirmed the departure of two characters from the show. These include Marcus Andrews (played by Hill Harper), and Dr. Danny Perez (played by Brandon Larracuente).
In the Season 6 final scenes, we see Marcus Andrews submit his resignation to the St. Bonaventure Hospital, signing off his duties as a doctor. In reality, Hill Harper, who plays the character, announced himself as running for the Senate in Michigan. Here is what he has to say in his Twitter post.

According to TV Line, Brandon, on the other hand, is written off the show, the reasons for which are unknown. His departure as Dr. Danny Perez is shown as a recovering opioid addict who left to seek treatment in Texas at the end of Season 6.
