For the third time, the Umbrella Academy assemblage is back in action. The series, which features inventive visuals and quirky actors who are clearly told to let their freak flags fly, breathes new life into the somewhat tired concept of a superhero school.
This week’s major announcements were only meant to tease the fans and get them excited for what’s more to come. One of the good news was about the one and only Elliot Page. He wanted to say something about his role in the franchise to his fans.
“Meet Viktor Hargreeves,” the actor shared in a post on Twitter and Instagram this Tuesday. The Umbrella Academy fans were in for a surprise with an official first look at Elliot Page’s new character, Victor Hargreeves.
The actor can be spotted as his character sits at a diner counter, donning a new short haircut.

Umbrella Academy fans have been speculating how Page’s character would change in the show’s forthcoming third season since the actor first came out as trans in December 2020.
On the other hand, Viktor has been through a lot if you are up to date with the series, as evidenced by his backstory. Before becoming the most powerful of the Hargreeves siblings, he was the only sibling without any powers.
Later we saw how he had such powerful abilities that he unintentionally started the apocalypse. Because of this, it’ll be interesting to see how Page and the writing develop Viktor in the future.
Fans have been waiting for news about his character for a long time, and it appears that a bit of imagination can be used with the recent post about what’s more to come for this character in the series as the plot lines unfold.
However, the story behind Viktor’s transformation will have to wait until the season premieres on Netflix. So far, fans love the direction the series is taking in embracing its characters and actors together.
Netflix also announced Viktor’s arrival on social media, writing: ‘Welcome to the family, Viktor — we’re so happy you’re here.’

The announcement comes just a few weeks after the long-awaited first teaser for the show’s release date was shared.
Fans were quick to notice that Page’s character was still referred to as Vanya in the teaser, making Page’s post the first hint at the upcoming transition storyline.
Some of the fan’s reactions were hilarious, and excitement filled with relief that the series is getting a new season after waiting for it.

Here are more details on The Umbrella Academy Season 3:
What do we know so far?
In short, Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy ended on a major cliffhanger. The Umbrellas time-traveling out of the 1960s moments before another potential apocalypse and returning to 2019, only to face the Sparrow Academy.
The only thing we know about the Sparrows is that they are an alternate timeline version of the Umbrellas, led by their own Ben (Justin H. Min).
According to the official The Umbrella Academy Season 3 description, the Umbrellas will inevitably face off against the Sparrows. Still, they will also require the superhero group’s assistance in preventing yet another apocalyptic event that could be caused by the Umbrellas’ unruly timeline jumping.
When and where will the series premiere?
The Umbrella Academy Season 3 will be released globally on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

The official synopsis for The Umbrella Academy Season 3:
After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy returned home to the present, convinced they had prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken time all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them.
Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns.
Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own – and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong.
Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?
The Umbrella Academy seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix.
