Yes, you heard it right! The journey of the Landry family will continue! Here is everything we know so far about The Way Home Season 2.
Are you excited to see what happens next in the series and how the Landry family’s story will be told in the new season? Then you have reached the right place, as we have compiled all the necessary details about the recently renewed The Way Home Season 2, which isn’t surprising as it is the network’s first new original series in almost seven years!
According to Deadline, it ranks as the No. 1 most-watched program on Sundays among households, P2+, W18+, and P18+ on an L+SD basis. The audience has also increased throughout the season among women and younger viewers. On an L+3 basis through Feb. 19, The Way Home was the No. 2 most-watched program overall with HHs, P2+, W18+, and P18+, second only to Hallmark’s own original movie.
After this good news, we would also like to highlight that the prospective premiere date for the second season has yet to be acknowledged! But if we have to predict the potential release date of The Way Home Season 2, it might premiere sometime around late 2023 or early 2024 at the same time slot of 9/8c every Sunday on a weekly basis.
This will happen only if the production starts on a proper schedule. Of course, at this point in time, this is just speculation! Until there is any formal confirmation, we would suggest that the fans keep a close eye on the social media handles of the network to learn about any new updates and developments.

The Way Home Season 2: What to expect?
Though the first season of the show hasn’t completed its entire run, it is expected to conclude with its finale episode, “Not All Who Wander Are Lost,” in the coming weeks on March 26, 2023. The official synopsis of the episode states, “Kat and Alice attend Colton’s funeral; Del goes to the grief group and makes peace with her memory of Colton; Kat has a new theory about Jacob.”
Hence, it is way too early to speculate on any potential plotlines for the next season, but it is expected to carry the essence of the show forward, which follows the lives of three generations of women: Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), her 15-year-old daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), and Kat’s mother Del (Andie MacDowell), who are all strong, willful, and independent.
More than 20 years ago, life-changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven, and she remains estranged from Del to this day. Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for their fractured family. With Kat’s marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, she decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back.
Although Alice is none-too-thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, though the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned. As the three generations of women slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening and surprising journey none of them could have imagined as they learn how to find their way back to each other.
“Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke, and Marly Reed have created a rich, textured story filled with heart and mixed with intrigue that’s proven to be a winning combination,” remarked Laurie Ferneau, Senior Vice President, Development, at Hallmark Media. “Season two is sure to bring more drama and mystery as the Landry family’s history is revealed.”
The main cast members of the multigenerational family drama that are expected to return include Chyler Leigh as Katherine “Kat” Landry Dhawan, Alex Hook as Teenage Kat Landry, Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine, David Webster as Teenage Elliot Augustine, Sadie Laflamme-Snow as Alice Dhawan, and Andie MacDowell as Delilah “Del” Landry.
