The White Lotus Season 3 Expected Release Date and Time Slot
If you recall, the popular series was renewed in November 2022 for a third season ahead of its second-season finale. Since then, no new updates have been provided by the network, and it also seems like the filming hasn’t begun yet! But it is expected to last about six months, as Theo James recently told Rolling Stone that the cast spent about six months filming season two in Sicily, indicating that there is at least some sort of production schedule.
If we have to speculate, the forthcoming season would most likely have a release window suggested to be around an early 2024 debut. On the other hand, it is also expected to release on a similar schedule, possibly on Sunday nights at the same time slot of 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on HBO, and be available for streaming concurrently on HBO Max. Until then, we suggest that the viewers be patient and follow all the social media platforms to be updated with the latest information.
Additionally, the official Twitter handle also confirmed the renewal news, quoting, “I can’t wait to welcome you to the next White Lotus property.#TheWhiteLotus has been renewed for Season 3.” Take a look at the official post below:

White Lotus Season 3: What to expect in the new season?
The upcoming season is all set to be in Asia, with filming likely to take place in one of the Four Seasons resort chains in Thailand!
Mike White also told Deadline, quote, “I think it’d be fun to maybe go to a whole different continent. You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia—something crazy like that—that would be fun.” Moreover, executive producer David Bernad also confirmed Asia as the prime location for season three. “We’ve tried to work in Asia a lot, and hopefully season three will be our chance to make something happen there,” he said.
Though not much has been revealed, Season 3’s creator Mike White hinted that it would center on “death and Eastern religion and spirituality.”
After these comments Mike White later discussed the theme of the third season, quoting, “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex. I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at The White Lotus.” There is no doubt that we’ll be streaming the show as soon as it drops, and it will be intriguing to see what new route the creators hope to take.
The White Lotus Season 3 Cast and Crew
The complete list of cast members for the new season is not revealed yet. But recently it was confirmed that Natasha Rothwell will reprise her Emmy-nominated role as Belinda Lindsey, who was the spa manager of the Hawaiian White Lotus resort in season one. Moreover, this is the first season of the series to not feature Jennifer Coolidge’s character Tanya McQuoid.
White also teased the return of Connie Britton’s character, Nicole, to the show ahead of season two. “He wanted me to be in the second season, and there was an idea that I loved for the character,” Britton told Deadline. “Our intention is to do it in the third season. A piece of casting didn’t work in the second season and we’re hoping to [do] that in the third season. I would love to see a spinoff on every character in that show.”
The White Lotus is created, written, and directed by Mike White; executive produced by Mike White, David Bernad, and Nick Hall; and co-executive produced by Mark Kamine. While the confirmation of other cast details is under wraps, there is still a chance for some major characters to reprise their roles for a cameo. We just have to wait sometime to get some kind of confirmation.

In the meantime, catch up with The White Lotus Season 2, which follows the exploits of guests and employees over the span of a week.
The season also follows various guests over the span of a week in the White Lotus’ Sicily location. While a darker side of the picture-perfect travelers begins to emerge, the hotel’s professional but prickly manager tries to keep two young locals-each striving to get ahead by different means out of her luxury establishment.
The second season has a 94% approval rating with an average score of 8.20/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. The website’s critics’ consensus states, “Swapping its tropical trappings for Euro chic while focusing primarily on the corrosive influence of carnal desire, The White Lotus remains a cookie full of arsenic that goes down smooth.” On Metacritic, the season has a score of 81 out of 100 based on 40 critics, indicating “universal acclaim.”
